Will not stay where he feels not wished . Silent, gentle voice, not sure if he is even able to speak loud or scream
The splash of water that he got in his face made him struggle backwards. He shook his head, glasses and vision blurred now. For a moment a sad and angered look crossed his face, immediately covered up by the distant again.
He looked down at her again. "Wherever you wish, miss." he said again with his silent voice.
"Choose one way you do!" she said, and shook up. She looked at him and smiled. Maybe she did not even notice it, but when she stand up, took her healthy horn rooted seedlings and one thing that it now hung tangled around the horn. Jumped up and walked slowly to the shore. "Choose the way." she repeated.
He looked around uncertainly. "I don't know this place very well yet..." he casted a look down at her again. "Maybe... it is better when you rest... with your injuries?" without thinking about it he stepped forward and bent down, picked up the little plant that had tangled on her horn.
"What are you doing?" squealed like crazy. Apparently she wanted to touch broken horn, which was of course a bit grown up. Seemed to have broken her horn a few months back grow... Abruptly jumped and turned to face him before he could take the young plant.
He lost grip of the little plant, before he could get it off. His head jerked back, looking at her a little shocked. "I am sorry." he bowed his head again. "You've got something hanging on your horn."
Vittani turned and looked up. Probably wanted to see what it hangs on the horn, but somehow did not realize that the horn has its own head. "Oh..." she said as she slowly pulled her head to him, let him take it off. "So you want me to take off? And take off it, please?" she asked.
He nodded again. "Yes I wanted to take it off." carefully he bent down again, this time picking the plant down from the horn. He dropped it down to the ground, made a step backwards again.
She smiled as she lifted her head. "Thank you," she smiled sweetly at him. She noticed that he stepped back again. His strange inferiority quite irritated her mind. She came to him. "Tell me, Bete... Why are you so afraid?"
He stared at her for a moment. That was a question no one ever had asked before. The exact oposite had always been the case. Everyone had expected this distand behaviour without asking.
"That's... how I learnded it... how it is expected from me." he answered truthful.
He looked down at her for another while, a frown appearing on his face once more. This time it was well visible, and stayed there for a while. "But... I am a servant..." he mumbled. He knew very well that this was over now... but he couldn't get out of his skin.
"What?" gasped after a short pause, she absorbed surprise. "And you... you my servant, or do you have another lord?" intently raised tail. Male and serve her? It will be funny when larger and stronger to serve smaller and weaker.
"No, I am not." he replied, his voice soft but strong now. "I just want to help you." he turned his eyes away from her again. "I have a master... but he isn't here."
Little musty creature, curled close and in a tangle of legs at the base of a tree- paying him its attention. Sometimes through glances through heavy eyelashes, and other times simply with perked ears. A tired little thing. But bigger now, a little more grown up since it last took to this strange watching.
Its eyes opened, the least glamorous color of yellow- urine. For a long while, the young deer stared up at him...
Vittani smiled, he was so close. While at her command, but she took it as a minor advance in the event, and hoped. "That's how close you can be even closer if you dare to it - even if you doubt it for."
@lossarow:
The albino had noticed the stranger when he had woken from one of his numerous nabs. From time to time he had casted a glance over, not really show if it was awake or not... and therefor he was shy about speaking to it.
Finally though he noticed the staring. An unsettling feeling. He cleared his throat. "Hello." he offered a simple greeting.
@Rhhya:
He moved his head, had a long look at the distance between him and the smaller, as if he was measuring, thinking, calculating. Finally he lifted his eyes up to her again. "It is close enough." he simply stated.
"I don't want to come closer." he replied, now a slight hint of impatience in his voice. What was up with this creature and her prying for closeness?
He bit his tongue for his inapropriate thoughts, though a silent voice in the back of his head mentioned that this was not his master... he had every right to protest.
It just didn't feel right. Thanks to his teaching to what he was now, it propably never will.
He lowered his eyes to the ground again.
Vittani stood. "You must be tired," ahe remarked in his direction. "You should rest, we on we will see you." Her voice was a little husky. Maybe the second wanted to win a little, or is intensified feeling of loneliness in his presence. "We'll be watching. Course. We..." she whispered as she took a few steps aside and lay down a little bit further. "Sure, sure. We."
He shifted his eyes to glance over towards her, frowning and staring.
By now he had an idea why this one was alone most of the time. He doubted many would seek friendship with a crooked beeing like this.
Of course, not one of those thoughts crossed his lips.
The distant look covered his face again, while he bowed his head. "As you wish, miss."
Vittani at him silently look. "Yes, I wish. Rest, Betei." she sighed again normal voice that was barely audible. She watched him with her head cocked her eye just before it returned to its original position.
He actually had expected her to leave now. But maybe her talk about watching was to take literally? "Is there anything else?" he asked, with a questioning look, now getting up himself to give her a proper goodbye, if she should decide to leave now.
For the first time a faint smile appeared on his lips. " And I thought you would leave, miss." He let out a sight, before he bowed. "If you are sure you don't need me here anymore, I would search me a place to sleep a few hours." he had some in mind. There was a little cave at that giant rocks he had fallen off last time. He found this a nice place to sleep... and be safe from visitors and other surprises.
He was just not sure if the Miss would leave him go.
Next to left, but she held the word 'several hours'. She looked at him with a little dejected look. "Go." motioned him gently, while she alone drew more legs under her body and her head almost sadly down on the ground. "I can handle it." sigh.
He bowed again, tilting his head slightly afterwards upon her reaction. "I will be back." it came over his lips before he even noticed what he was saying. Then he turned around to seek out the place he had in mind. Doubtless, he was tired... after all this work.
Its ears, thick with fur, lifted slightly and slowly at the sound of his voice. The little muddied lips of her muzzle came apart, and one word cracked out, sounding hollow and raspy. One could picture the cobwebs that must have covered her vocal chords. "Hi." The tangle of legs she had gotten herself into shifted a little, trying to get comfortable.
The albin's eyes scanned her quickly and discretely. He had his thoughts about her appereance, but they stayed well hidden behind his distant face.
He bent slightly forward, to be able to peek around the tree, that seperated them. "Can I help you?"
He peeked, and at first she shied back. Shrunk into a little ball...before her neck extended out again, a little more around the tree than before. Her chin found a small dip in the ground, and settled. Contented, she sighed heavily. Now she payed her attention to his words.
"...help?" So crackily. It was nearly a pain to listen to. Surely water would help, but the young one should be able to do that on its own. "...only here...to look." For a split second, those eyes darted away, before settling back to him. Distant now.
For a few moments he returned her looks... awkwardly... not quite sure what to do with this now. Eventually he decided to lean back again, 'hiding' behind the stumb of the tree again. "T..tell me when there is anything." he muttered silently.
This place was certainly full of strange beeings.
Even stranger than the people around his master...
She, too, found him strange. Strange enough to commit to a conversation- her first, even. It wasn't long before that terrible voice was meeting his ears again. In longer strings, now. "There is something...on your nose...it looks as if...hurts."
His ears twitched as she spoke again. Once more he lent forward, peeking over to her. For a moment confused... then he got what she was speaking of. "Those... are glasses. They help me to see." he explained calmly, as if he was talking to a child.
Her eyes widened slightly. Instead of moving back this time when he came around the tree, her body was pressed flat. Just as quickly, all of her relaxed, and her moment of concern was gone. "Glasses...eses..." Her tongue came out, trying to clean some of the mud from her muzzle. And that sound from her mouth. Eseses...es...
Slightly, she shook her head, large ears hitting the sides of both her skull and the tree. The movement made her greasy, musty scent grow stronger. "...so...bright, shiny..."
It took him qite some strenght to keep his distant face up, to not crinkle his nose about the scent. He dove back behind the tree. "Thank you... miss." he replied silently.
Since he had arrived in this place he never had spent a thought on calling the creatures, that lived here 'Sir' 'Miss' or 'Madame'... similar to alice, who never had any doubt on talking to white rabits or grinning cats.
"May I accompany you?" Kaya slowly approaching the white deer. She was very glad to see him again and it seems that she is interested in him. After receiving consent, Kaya joined to Betei. "I'm glad to see you again, sir". She smiled and looked at him.
As soon as he noticed the doe approaching, he was quickly on his feet again, bowed down poliely. "Good day, Madame... of course, anytime."
He waited until the female had settled down, before he followed her example and sat down as well.
He glanced over to her, his face distant as always. "The pleasure is all mine, Madame Kayenne."
"How are you?" She asked after a while. She saw that white deer is in thoughtfulness and decided not to disturb him. She briefly looked at him and then looked at the Crying Stone.
"Fine, thank you." he replied politely.
Actually he wasn't in thoughts... this was just his usual reserved manners, used to stay in the background and not to show any kind of thoughts or emotions. "How are you, madame?" he returned the question.
