It is a spirit that travelled through the universe and different planes of existence for a time unquantifiable. It observed various worlds' flora and fauna and wished to have a material form, but could not muster enough energy alone to manifest it. So it drifted, observing but unfeeling, learning about different worlds but only ever from a distance.

Until it drifted into a dying star's orbit, her attention on it's following planet. For a long time she watched this silent star's creation, it's child, before it imploded behind her. A creature of light so immense it filled the space around her before she could react and enveloped her in white. Only then, it spoke. "I've seen you yearn for the life I gave. I will help you, in my last moments."

After that, it felt like everything reversed, like the light was pulled into her and the mass of the star condensed inside her, leaving her in darkness as the weight started distributing itself into limbs and eventually came into contact with something... hard. A sensation never felt before. Another flash assaulted her as the world came into view all at once, from a bit above a creature's forehead. A form she could call herself.

The forest seemed suitable, itself timeless like her. Once it got upon it's feet walking felt strangely intuitive and she learned she was not bound by her form, instead being able to shift into any one she had remembered. It would even sometimes present in a chimera like fashion with different animal body parts, but the skull on her face would persist in every one of her physical forms.

The picto above her is her ever-seeing eye, a gift and piece of the star that gave her form. It embodies a strange, almost 4d shape, always morphing and shifting to look back at the viewer. They are connected, it grants her sight and drips a regenerative liquid onto her, which keeps her damp at all times. Consequently, the fur around it's neck and back grew to a mane and it often has various plants trying to sprout from any seed that might get caught in there. Some it cherishes, some it weeds out during grooming.

She doesn't have a good concept of time since she was never bound by it, so she can often stand still for hours or seemingly stare at others for uncomfortably long, though it always sees all around itself and is possibly not paying attention to that part of her vision field. Since becoming a corporeal being it's values shifted somewhat, all the bodily processes and hormones giving it new insights and needs. It also became a bit possessive and territorial, something it never understood while only observing.

It assumes it might one day implode like the star that gave it life and return to wandering the cosmos alone.
