What art tablet to get?

heres the thing. I used to draw alot when i was younger...and seeing all this artwork on here really wants me to get into it again, useing a art tablet. so my question is what tablet should i get. I make good money but i REALLy don't want to spend alot of money. please help guys ^_^

I have a Wacom tablet. No complaints about the tablet itself, but I was never able to adapt to it. If I draw on the computer, I have to use a mouse...

with tablets do you see what you are drawing on the tablet its self of do you have to watch the monitor?

Depends on the tablet, some you can get where the image appears on the tablet itself, though they are more pricey.

I've only ever used a wacom,

I've only ever used a wacom, but I can definitely vouch for it. This one I have now is 5 years old and has survived many terrible and high-velocity collisions with the floor, having its cord pulled in awful ways, having lots of food and drink spilled on it over the years, and it is only now starting to show its age (for example, I've worn a hole in the drawing surface.) So I can definitely say that even though Wacoms can be expensive, they're a great investment. I'm very happy with mine.

A Bamboo (fun) is a tablet

A Bamboo (fun) is a tablet from WACOM. Granted the drawing space is small, but if your looking on a budget I would buy it. It only cost me 60 US dollars and it comes with Photoshop, Nix Color effects, and Corel Painter free of charge.

And 60 bucks is not alot compared to the prices of other tablets. Trust me.

Just adding my support for the Wacom tablets! I've been using one for a few years and so far it's held up excellently.
