I tried to install v.3.13 so I could cast DOTD stuff but even though I can login and connect fine, I see nothing. No trees, no deers, just the ground and mist. Anyone know what is wrong?
Did you download it over your new version? Did you have another version installed in C:\Programs\Tale Of Tales before you installed 3.13?
If so, deinstall everything you got from TEF, make sure that folder is empty or delete it completely. Re-Download the version you want. How to install more than one version of TEF
Yes Unplugged, I uninstalled the game and deleted the folder then installed 3.13.
The weird thing is my friend says she can see my pictogram and see me running around, but I can't see ANYONE and no trees even though I can see actions like rubbing against a tree and etc. Also my character is a fawn for some reason.
Hmm well I'd still try and reinstall just in case. That sounds strange. Have you checked the "display" properties? Maybe it's set to "show no players". Do your Pictograms spread?
That's the thing, the pictograms don't spread... I reinstalled it too, and still nothing. But my friend can still see my picto and me. I see no pictos at all.
I'm playing it on Vista if that makes a difference...
... OK... this is just weird. You are right, it was set on "don't show other players" but every time I move the slider to "show all players" it won't save that setting!
This happened to me, too, and sadly, no one knew how to fix it, either.
I finally copied all the files from 3.31, uninstalled 3.31, installed 3.13, and replaced ALL the files inside The Endless Forest 3 file with the files copied from 3.31, and then 3.13 worked fine. Lol.
It's really confusing, but that's how I got it to work.
Wetterhound... I just tried that. And it wouldn't even open TEF, just said the entry point couldn't be located or something... I guess it really doesn't want me to play v. 3.13.
I would try reinstalling it then trying to run as administrator. I have this issue with the version of the game, it will work for a bit then suddenly quit even showing up, I have to reinstall it every time this happens.
