My dog Kelsie that I just lost this year.. when she was at the shelter, she was put in there because she was hyper and 'bites'.
She was just a puppy.. the lady had two infants. What did she expect?
I miss her so much. And it breaks my heart to hear these kinds of stories.. about the animals that will never know a home.

I went to see her again today.. I'm thinking about just taking her, enduring the consequences when I get home, and try to find a new home for her. She really isn't a bad dog, she's a border collie who was locked up in a cage all day and expected to be an angel the few minutes she was out. The world's most intelligent, extremely active dog doesn't do that. And yeah.. if a kid yanks their ears or hits them on the head they're gonna snap at them. They aren't for kids. If they knew the first thing about border collies they would have known that.
I could take her to the border collie rescue about 3 hours away, they don't kill and the people who come there actually know what the f*ck they're doing + get background checks.

It's so much different than the community here, less emotional.. I like it. But if I need real personal closeness, I always know where to turn. Not sure what exactly I'm trying to say.

I am 4 months late and I finally decided to reply to that rp. It never slipped my mind.
He dragged his legs along with him, they were too thick and heavy to skip around with. I'm the usual me, the usual Skuller. Though I do not like that name any more. The name haunts me; a scar which will never leave me. Though it did not seem to bother him much, he quickly shrugged it off and finally arrived at the stream. He swung his head down and buried it into the water, which rippled as his throat soaked up the goodness. His eyes never left Tally, though she did not seem to realise this. He felt guilty being here, knowing he would only lead her into more trouble. But he wondered if that was what she wanted; a bit of an adventure in her life... The silence grew and he hesitated to say anything, but- I missed you.
I had wondered if you didn't want to reply or just got too busy.. and sorry that I write so much. d:
Slipping a few steps delicately into the water's edge, the doe lowered her head so near to its surface that only a stray chin fur had touched it as she took a drink. As Skuller's head submerged into the pond, a ripple sloshed up to disturb that thin layer of peace. Tally's expression did not show any sign of irritation, though she raised her head slowly as the water rolled off her mouth back into the water. She had in fact not noticed his watch, but rather her eyes followed his contours as though trying to re-examine a long-lost, precious object, unknowing of his awareness.
She listened to his words as quietly as was typical of her, blinking after he'd finish. Velveteen ears swiveled forward with his last utterance, and she descended toward the water to nip at a pond flower similarly to a nervous person touching their hair to relieve it. "I've thought much about you too.."

A smile rose upon his face, and he nodded softly, as she gently tugged the flower from out of the ground. He sauntered up the banking, away from the stream and clambered over to a nearby tree. He observed it, swinging his head around to check it was in a healthy state, guarded by smooth cracks around its trunk. It was very broad and sturdy, so he swiped his antlers across its body; again and again, grinding the points of his antlers into the surface. He continued only for a few seconds before his antlers were clean to the very tips and backed away, brushing off so he could ask a few more things. How is everything around here? Have I missed much?

The flower was broad and a coral pink, appearing completely edible or even sweet as candy, but tasted sharply bitter on her tongue. For who knows why the doe held on to it as she followed along behind him up the bank in a sheep-like, herd-like, manner. Perhaps it was a weak excuse to keep her mouth closed for that little bit longer, or maybe she only wasn't paying enough attention to it. Not everything Tally did had a true meaning or an ulterior motive, she was a plightless, but influence-able bit of nature.
Marble eyes watched his scraping unblinkingly, though she did take the chance to look him over once more. Skuller's words reached her not so much as a surprise, but as a burden of some kind. A few oversized petals fell to the grass floor before she spoke. She leaned to lay it down finally, bent and out of place as it were. "The forest is as it always is and ever was." The doe slid between him and the tree he'd used to press the side of her face and shoulder against its bark, eyes closing with an exhale. "My dad died a while ago,.. but other than that and a few moms-to-be there isn't much to say."
