Atiq is having to live with an ancient spirit sharing his mind, but is having trouble adjusting............

Atiq watched with sad eyes as the stag ran off into the distance.
"Are you insane?!" he whirled around shouted to the form behind him,"That was my friend!"
Atiq took a step forward and glared defiantly at the perpetrator. Strangely, Atiq was not casting a shadow, the light shone right through him. The form behind him did not seem the least bit perturbed. In fact, he glared right back with intense, cold eyes. He stood about as tall as Atiq, yet with a sturdier frame, and his face was not the same shape as a normal deer's, it was more angled. His coat shone almost pure white, with black markings on his legs and face, along with a long, black-tasseled tail that was agitatedly swishing about. But probably the most intimidating feature was his long, curved horns going back to a sinister point. When he spoke, his voice still had the touch of youth, but it was powerful, and brimming with the air of a confident leader.
"He was none of mine, and I really could care less."
Atiq snorted furiously,"That's no excuse for acting like you did! You may share my body but that does not give you leave to do as you please!"
"Then he shouldn't have snuck up on me, you know how suspicious I am. Besides, I know of nothing here, how was I supposed to know he was a friend?" the stranger turned and began to walk away. He felt so isolated, so lost. He did not know who he was, or what he was doing here, or how to act around those he encountered. He had so much to learn, and no one to show him.

Dejectedly, he flopped down by the edge of the Pond and sighed, staring at his reflection.
"Why are you so cold? You act as if you care about nothing."
Blank stared at his reflection, which strangely, took on the form of Atiq's face. He let out a heavy sigh, and his stern expression surprisingly softened.
"I do care, I'm just...............confused. Lost inside my own memories. This is not easy for me. I know that I used to be different," then Blank's face hardened once more, "But why should I care about anything here? Why should I be stuck with a creature like you? We are not even the same species. What did I do to deserve being stuck with you?! Truly the Gods hate me!"
"Why you arrogant little..........." growled Atiq's reflection."I don't know why I must put up with you either, but do not question the Powers That Be! No one knows why they do the things they do, but it is always for a reason. And the sooner I find the reason for you being here, the sooner I can get rid of you and go back with my friends!"
Blank snorted and splashed the water with one of his hooves, scattering Atiq's face.
"Trust me, I want out just as much as you do," Blank then turned and sped off in the direction of the Birch Forest.

Some time later, Blank was resting on a certain hill, with a certain crooked birch tree at its crest, pondering. "Why am I here, to what purpose do I serve? The only thing I have remembered, is the desert..............Egypt. And something I am supposed to protect............something to do with the pharaohs, and the Gods. But not my name..........."
"Blank?" inquired a voice from behind Blank.
"Don't call me that! That is not my name!"Blank snapped at the approaching, transparent, Atiq.
"Well then tell me what it is."
"I don't remember."
"Yes you do, it's there somewhere."
Blank shot Atiq am indignant look, "What do you want?"
"I was thinking,"Atiq began sheepishly,"I know that this has to be hard for you, and I shouldn't be so hard on you. I just care about my friends, a lot. so please, just give them a chance, and give me a chance too. I will help you through this and guide you, if no one else will. I want to figure this out as much as you do. I've felt as though something will happen, something important, and we have to figure it out,"he turned to Blank,"I know you've felt it too."
Blank nodded,"Indeed I have," he let out a long sigh, he knew Atiq was right. "Fine. I will give your Forest a chance, Atiq. I will make amends with your friends and, as you once bluntly put it, 'Remove the stick that is stuck up my bum'. but it doesn't mean that I like you at all," he quickly added with a glare.
Atiq let out a bark of laughter," I know Blank. I return the feeling." Atiq gave a genuine smile, which caused Blank to be taken aback, and eventually his features softened a tad as well.
"Don't worry, we'll figure out who you are, we have all the time we need."

The two of them turned their eyes skyward as a flock of blackbirds took to the skies, and the wind whispered through the trees, bringing in times of change. But not even they knew that.

wewt. Blank is gonna try and not be a butt-head in the Forest anymore, so show him how to have fun and be patient with his adorable confusion at everything XD
