Oh you did it, I failed a couple of times before I actually stayed in the air.

If I do not hit it just right I crash the program, I can not do anything once I get there, I open the functions and end up falling!

I find that before your action bar goes away you press S to keep it, but I still end up falling and can only get it to work sometimes.
