human past
howell was a relatively average teenage boy, filled with dirty thoughts, and sarcastic comments. he attended a rather nice highschool where he had a few friends and the reputation of hitting on any living breathing attractive thing in his sight. this bothered a few people yes, usually the ones who he hit on, but to everyone else it was hilarious. most people assume he'd gotten around, and probably knocked a few girls up, and done other nasty things in bathrooms. in reality, he's only ever kissed someone once. his sex life was lacking and this was probably why he desired it so much than usual . and yet he still never got past kissing before he died. his death was fairly normal and not tragic. the only reason his soul is was still able to pass on was because he saved a fox from being squashed by a bus, darting out in the road to push the seemingly terrified creature out of the way, only to take the fatal impact of the giant steel automobile. the fox was a spirit.

birth date June 9th - age of date 17 years old - cause of death hit by a bus while attempting to save a fox from getting hit - date of death November 10th

forest present
howell's soul was spared because of his deed, and he was granted a second chance at life in the forest. upon waking up in his new body, the gods instructed him to how this came to be. he would life as usual, but in the forest, in this body, since he was not yet ready for death. there was a catch, he could no longer touch anyone, ever again, or he would fade away until he disappeared. he was mad, but at least others could touch him. the gods told him this was his last chance, and that he should be forever in debt to that fox since it was the one who saved him. he was renamed adestria, and in honor of the fox whom saved him he wears a kitsune mask, ties a real fox tail to his own stubby one, and wears a ribbon tied around his neck with a golden bell on it. he also sports golden antler caps to match his bell.
if he hadn't strayed from his fate and saved that fox he wouldn't be here, and his life would have ended in the human world, as he was fated to die the very next day.
