Please pardon me if this is the wrong section, I'm still very new to this site.

I haven't had a problem with TEF until a few days ago when Vista installed some updates and restarted on its own, then TEF suddenly didn't want to open. It's happened before and usually a few hours in sleep mode fixed it for some reason, but after 3 days and a million restarts, it still refuses to start up. All it gives me is a black screen when it opens and eventually says "The program is not responding" and closes down. I did a system restore to before the update and nothing changed, and I even updated to Vista service pack 2 (finally) to see if it would work a bit better, but no dice. :/

Anyone know how to fix this, or am I stuck without TEF until I have money to buy the Windows 7 update disk? Any responses are highly appreciated. (:
