I have a new deer, Ruffa, and she was made for the soul purpose as a backup for Alpha. Nothing more. Should something happen to Alpha, Ruffa will take over, so, if you see that name here, it's me. If anyone wants her, please feel free to take her.
another year bites the dust. At 9 'o clock this morning I turned 19. That came up fast.
I also had no idea so many people had my phone number. I had to keep jumping out of the shower to answer phonecalls and texts from everyone x3
I won't complain though, it just means they still love me enough to wish me a happy birthday and it's little things like that I'm thankful for <3
Even though I'm not as close to this community as I was 2 years ago, I still count some of you as my friends and I wanted to thank those of you as well who've still supported me all this time <3<3<3
[EDIT] DUDE DUDE DUDE. LOOK AT WHAT MY AWESOME ROOMMATE AND OUR RANDOM AWESOME FRIEND DID FOR ME:
I came home from my life drawing class and those two come bursting out of the room with this thing singing happy birthday to me. It was so cool, no one's ever done something that nice for me before XDD It totally made my day!
The external fan that kept my laptop cool has finally kicked the bucket, so playing TEF for extended periods puts a strain on it(and burns my fingertips), so I may not be playing as much until I get a new fan. :/
I'll put a note about this on my updates and bio, soon.
I know this will come off as a selfish topic but I made this for a few reasons - To serve as a reference for the many gifts you guys have given me while I've been going through this tough time; To return to if I ever am depressed and need to see these again; So I can show them to my Mom when she returns from San Antonio; and so I can come up with a way to repay you guys when I get to that point.
Taking off for a camp in the Adirondacks tomorrow morning. I'll be back in town Saturday, because I have orientation at my college. I should be on in late afternoon/early evening.
As some of you may know, there was a show on TV for ten years called Mystery Science Theater 3,000, created by Joel Hodgson. This show was a huge success, and the fanbase is gigantic. The show's idea is simple enough: Play a bad movie, and have someone make fun of it. Let's take a look:
You're probably thinking, "Okay, that's funny, but what's your point?" Well, Joel once answered a question I posted that would be included in an interview that is posted here.
Me (Sensoria): "Hey, Joel. This isn’t a question (so it will probably be promptly thrown out), but I just wanted to say that your work in MST3K and Cinematic Titanic inspire me to be creative, even if I’m not the best artist in the world."
Joel: "Being creative even though you’re not the best artist is my story in a nutshell. Have you ever seen the MST3K pilot at TV 23? When I was working on MST3K I was always wondering where the creative fans were, and where were all the people we were hoping to inspire? It’s nice to see that emerging now. Creative people know this and I’m sure you’ll agree, there is so much pleasure in making things. It’s sort of its own reward."
Point being: Even if you feel like your skill in creative endeavors is sub-par, remember why you do it in the first place: For yourself!
