A CLOUD marching along (Giftart for Haru)

Sorry this is terrible, but I made it for you using Harmony.

This was inspired by my Return to Nature - Perspectives II story, and for the little giftart event at the bottom of the topic.

Don't make Bambi cry! :C

Don't trace. Tracers make Bambi cry!

But seriously, I'm here to debunk a myth about tracing; Tracing is one of THE WORST ways to learn how to draw! To explain this I have a few not-so-fun facts about tracing;

1. When you trace, you inherit all the flaws of the previous artist. Each mistake they made is ingrained into your brain.

2. The only thing tracing teaches you is hand eye coordination. You actually learn MORE from filling out a pencil and paper maze, than you do from tracing.

3. If you trace something, and use that something to make money, you can be sued. Try explaining to mummy and daddy why you need 30 thousand dollars to settle a copyright dispute with Disney.

4. I am an art student. If I was to trace for a project, I would be EXPELLED and black listed from every art university and collage in my province.

I used to trace myself. I did. Then I realized it was wrong, and I wasn't learning anything from it.
If you think to yourself "I could never be a great artist. I need to trace!" then I'm in the process of proving you wrong.
I'd love if you could join me, and help prove yourself wrong as well! Smiling

Drawing chain 11: Ephra

I tried using another program for once, and then failed at making it transparent. . . ):

If anyone can make this transparent around the edges, without messing up the image quality, I'd be much obliged, and I'm sure, so would Ephra. <3
Thank you so much Peg. <3
I really have never used anything more complicated than paint, and I'm really lost as far as how Open Canvas functions. @-@
So many buttons. . .

I don't know who the fawn is, but he looks very upset, lol. Sticking out tongue

Ephra, could you please request someone to be next in line? (:

Vala, I Bring You Into Being

For Vala, as part of Quad's Return to Nature event.

There are about a thousand things that I see wrong about this work, but I'm just glad that I was able to make some traditional art for an old friend. Smiling

Traditional: watercolor paper, watercolor markers, pencils
