In this forest, I walk with the gods
They know every part of me that I do not
And I know them
in the green of the grass, they stroke my cheek
in the sunlight, I feel the heat of their breast
in the cool waters they take my weight from me
in the flowers they bathe my eyes
in the shadows of the trees they cradle me
in each stone they hide for me a message
in the mouth of each bird they write for me a love song.
