Issa had always enjoyed his family, no matter what form, but since the separation from his birth family he had become closest with the group of spirits that had adopted him. The ever grumpy stag Wosret acted as a guardian over them all, often spending much of his time keeping watch out for danger and moving the group along every few days to make sure Issa's scent never remained in one area too strongly. Sometimes Issa thinks Wosret forgets he and the other fawns are no longer in danger from physical threats.

The ever gentle Mei'e is the only female in their family but by far the older sister figure, often lecturing the boys along with their guardian when they got to rambunctious. That didn't mean she was a stick in the mud, no the little hind was often prancing about along with the boys.. or teasing them by using her spiritual abilities to influence flowers to grow all around and sometimes through the other spirits.

Rasui, shy and timid, is the second eldest of the fawns it seemed, just under Wati in age, but he isn't the toughest. He is even more gentle then Issa, often opting for a pacifistic view of the world and situations. He's not often taking part in the rough housing but always ready to share a story or game with Issa.

Hon'du and Wati were the troublemakers of the family, often influencing things around them to startle living deer or pulling pranks. Despite the mischief they make sure never to hurt anyone or scare the little fawns or elders. They have some respect after all. Wati is Issa's best friend and often looks out for him, startling predators away when he's in danger and when Wosret hasn't already taken care of things.

His greatest protector is the fawn spirit he is closest with, Meti. He was one of the guardian spirits of Issa's birth herd and became close with the living fawn shortly after he was born. Since then he has been a close freind, a confident, and a protective presence in Issa's life.
