Tiivad Reference

w00t! This is my raven character named Tiivad. I will definetly make a story for him, he's quite interesting. He'll be on a different account of mine once the fawn has reached adulthood. I suck at shading, so that's why he's pretty flat, but I may or may not attempt that later.

This was made in GIMP.

Metis, with an image.

Finally, a more-or-less fleshed out character picture. I realize the anatomy isn't great, but it was high-time to get my little deer brain-child to paper. Done in graphite because I have next to no skill for colors.

A little bit about Metis...

Metis is marked after a spotted owl. She features a crown of feathers in place of antlers, as well as having patches of feathers on her tail, rump, and shoulders. When she can be coaxed to come out of the underbrush, these feather patches makes it easy to read how she is feeling. Generally speaking, if frightened or startled, the patches of feathers on her rump and tail will puff up. When angry, irritated, or annoyed, she will slick down the feathers on her head, while fluffing up the feathers on her shoulders. When content, relaxed, and happy she is simply fluffy all over. Her markings make it easy for her to simply melt into the underbrush and hide. Her eyes are extremely dark colored - so dark, that most simply think them to be black - but if you were to look at them carefully in the sunlight, you'd see the left eye is a dark green, and the right eye is a deep purple.

She is based after, and is the size of a small black-tail deer doe. She isn't very big (About 3 feet at the shoulder), and can be quite skittish around larger deer (Bit of backstory, there). Once convinced to come out of the underbrush to talk, she can be quite friendly and downright silly.

sibera; color & design opinions ?

ok, so this her finial line design, she'll have all of the features in this drawing.
now, we just need color.
I've decided on a dark grey or black base,
but the markings... I have no idea !
I want her to have aztec/tribal like markings,
she's very old [ageless, so she looks in her mid-twenties],
and thinks of her self as a deity [she is not, she's just a narcissist]
so, she'll need bunches of snazzy jewelry & accessories since none my characters have any cx

so, what are your ideas?
I know how creative this community is, so feel free to draw up some designs, or help with color or accessory ideas, I need it. ouo

so far acer is helping out with coming up with a design and colors c:

thanks guys! c:

Art Dump! Yes another one.

About time for another one of these I guess. I don't like cluttering up the place with all my scribbles so here, have another massive art dump.

Prita told me she might like to have antlers when she’s an adult. I told her to shudup, she needs to grow up to begin with first. But we’ll see. It worked pretty good in the concept art so perhaps it will happen. IF she ever grows up, but I enjoy her as a fawn. Some day!

More stuffies under the cut…

New Stag Ref

x.x I have yet to learn how to clean lines, color and etc. But I managed to mock up a veeeeeery simple ref of my new stag. I decided I disliked the look of Wax and made this. Race horses always look so good, so I thought, racing stag? Yes. I'm thinking of names though, so do post an idea for one below if ya have any.

Siberia concept; opinions needed ouo -updated-

UPDATES;
got rid of the wings, added some feathers on her shoulders, and elbows. I also drew her whole body.
added some colors, and now to see what you all think ouo
I think I'll go with a tribal/aztec design, but she's not suppose to be a native, or in a tribe of any sort. she's a spirit. who eats things. yeah. cx

Siberia/Siren concept here,
I have a head ache so I'm not finishing this ever, just a sketch.
So, she's thin, with an average deer head,
has some tusks,
she has spines/quills on her back/ shoulders
a long tail with large feathers on the end
red eyes
black coat with scars/burns that look like markings
long thing legs with feathering[actual feathers] down the lower back part on all 4 legs
she also has some hair going on there.

this is her first form though, she has another one that's all sweet and cute looking for luring in prey, I'll get that later

I have great plot for her ouo
woop.

critique and comments are loved c;

Picto-- x
Set: Kabuki pelt, Crying Idol mask and Fan or Default antlers (eventually)

QUIET-- although he enjoys company, at times he has trouble expressing himself well and sometimes prefers to sit quietly with them.
LOYAL-- once he's made a friend, he's hard pressed to betray them.
MOODY-- occasionally he feels a sudden, strong sense of loneliness or sadness.
NOSY-- he's always curious what other deer are doing. he'll leave them alone if asked, though.
SENSITIVE-- he's easily bothered by other deer making threatening gestures toward him, even if they aren't necessarily angry, but just feel like being left alone.
CAUTIOUS-- he generally slows down as he nears other deer, especially adults, and approaches cautiously, waiting for a reaction before relaxing.
RESPECTFUL-- he always bows respectfully to adult deer both upon meeting them and upon parting.

Description

His curled golden ruff extends from his head over his shoulders and down onto his chest, fading into pale yellow on his sides and then to white on his legs and underside. Around his neck he wears a turquoise pendant, which is generally partially hidden by his thick fur. Faint remnants of his fawn spots can be seen under bright sunlight if one looks closely. His wide, age-tarnished antlers are those of the fallow deer and he can often be seen with flowers in them, with poppies being his favorite. His right eye is ringed by the pattern of the eye of Horus, which stands out in navy blue on his pale skin.
