More designs from me

I'm sure you're sick of them by now. He may not exactly be a deer, but I like him...

Sleep, soon everything will be alright again

This...
I don't even know why I post this. It is nothing special, nothing of quality, just a scribble from a simple pic I couldn't get out of my mind.

Hmm, it's my stag Sonne with the wolf cub he found a few days ago.
He also won't have it with him for long, as he is smart enough to know that a stag can't care for a wolf pup. But for now he will guard it until he found its family or a foster pack to take care of it.

Oioi, I love this stag. How does he manage to cheer me up and calm my soul where other charas fail.
Please please, Sonne, never loose this great nature of yours.

(Also that lucky bastard of a wolf pup, I want that fluff to cuddle, too *dramatic bite into a handkerchief*)

A/N: He usually has a more impressive pair of antlers, but you know the drill: Spring makes them go ´plopp´ XD

Festive

Just a new set thingy for Feng Bo! This is what he looks like when he wears the Red Crying Idol pelt. O:

It's kind of inspired by some of the Chinese Festival Dragons! But only slightly

Sakura

My first human deer. Was very exciting. I had trouble with the anatomy around the neck and head. I wanted it to look possible. Used a ton of reference to get it just right.

Wanted to create someone elegant. She is the type who is reserved and calmly takes in her surroundings. Was going for a geisha look.

I really enjoyed painting the body. Added about 6 different colors/layers to get the effect. I had trouble deciding what her hair would look like. Saw some tribal art and was inspired to make it in large strands.

Added some quick trees so you could tell where she lives and add a bit of interest. The yellowing was to make it look like old japanese art.

Right now pieces I've done are very flat. Will start steering away from this.

Next time would like to create a piece with more story and mood. Need to work more with lighting as well.

Details

So, it's my first shot at trying fur detail, and I thought it would be hard... and turned out to be harder. Critique welcome, I'd like to be able to get better at this kind of thing Smiling
