Personality/history: Tantopat appeared in the forest one day after disappearing from his parents at a very young age. He doesn't remember much of the ordeal, and was young enough when it happened to hardly even remember what his parents looked like. As a result, it hasn't affected him much, and he tends not to dwell on it, seeing the Endless Forest as his main home.

Tantopat is a very playful deer, and is curious of everything and everyone. Other animals especially grab his attention, and he tends to feel more at ease around fawns than adults, as fawns are usually more accomodating towards his random bouts of hopping and dancing. He is also very hyperactive and has a short attention span, which can often lead to him running away from friends without warning in favour of whatever else has caught his attention. Around adults Tantopat is often shy, and looks up to them as mentor figures, even those younger than him. He can also appear a little stand-offish at times, due to not being familiar with socialisation. His flightiness as a fawn led to him never really taking the time to forge proper relationships with any deer, and so now as an adult he is often not sure how to interact with others.

Despite his love of running and jumping Tantopat has mild mobility problems, which can lead to him having trouble manoeuvring himself and turning around. He is also scared of confrontation and of being alone for too long, a fear which stems from him experiencing "limbo slips" (falling into a parallel dimension where no one else exists, and only being able to see the deer in his own dimension without them noticing him) as a fawn. He still occasionally experiences these slips, but has learnt to simply sleep and wait for them to go away. Even without the slips, however, he can still easily become scared of anything, as he tends to be particularly nervous and prone to being spooked easily.

Sniff + head tilt = Are you a friend?
Sniff + back away = Please don't eat me!
Bow + head tilt = Hi, who are you?
Startled jump/duck/thing = What just happened?!
Rear + hop = Let's have a hopping match!
Trots in a circle around another deer = I think I like you.
Backs away = Feeling a little shy.
Bows + turns and trots away = Goodbye!
Continues hopping away during a hopping game = My legs have seized up and I can't turn! Help!
Running with no apparent aim = Having an anxiety attack/convinced he's stuck in limbo again.
Roaring at the pond = Fell in again, and definitely not happy about it.
Pawing the ground + walking away and turning to face the other deer again + head tilt = Will you follow me?
Head tilt = What? (Is generally used for anything he's unsure about. Which is pretty much everything, as he's not exactly the brightest stag in the forest.)
Runs to hide behind another deer + cowers = Something has just scared him (usually a statue in the Drinkplaats)

If you want Tantopat to help you get a set, just paw the ground and start walking away for a few steps. Hopefully he'll start following you, as he loves casting spells on other deer, and also loves being helpful.
