A dark red, almost burgandy doe was sitting in the giant Oak Tree. Her dark amber eyes looked around, seeing if anyone was approaching. She so very much wanted someone to come to Oak. The Oak used to be a very popular place in the forest, but now it isn't.
She sighed in boredom and got to her hooves. Then the doe walked over to one of the withering flowers, gave it a nudge with her nose, and then blew on it with her breath. The flower shuddered form her warm touch and the petals were no longer withered and dropping, but glowing with happiness and sprouted higher.
pumpkinseed; :DD thank ya so much~ It dull work, for me anyway. It takes me ages to do css xD
I'll be sure to keep an eye and ear open C: little girls wreak chaos with their hyper, honey-dripping personalities ♥
Bayleen;
Our dear young Princess Agitha, oh what a curious little thing she is. Large, golden ponytails bobbing lightly with every step, she trotted through the lush green woodlands. Her Highness stopped upon reaching, what must be a very old tree indeed. Agitha loved this tree, it calmed her.
Agitha gently stepped around the base of the tree, head lowered, inspecting for any of her "subjects" as she called them.
She then heard...a noise. A sigh. The curious girl turned her head round to where she saw a pretty red doe. He large eyes watched as the doe breathed on a dying flower, eyes filled with wonder as she saw it be revived. "That's a pretty neat ability you have" She said in her usual soft voice.
I probably sound like a broken record, but I loved and feared going to see her. The layout, decorations, and lighting of her room/house is just wonderful and amazing to do nothing in.
..but I'd always accidentally lie to her that I didn't have any bugs to give her and she'd growl at me.
I was afraid that every time she'd be all "HURRR WHERE ARE THE BUGS I WILL EAT YOUR LIVER" that she would turn into a miniboss battle.
FishBisquit; Indeed. xD Well, she's typically a sweet little lady. Just give her all her bugs and let her have things her way and all will be just peachy, neh?~ Or else she'll send out the bumblebees.
anyway thank you for the track!
Bayleen; "I suppose that depends on your definition of new..." the girl mused momentarily to herself. She then decided "Yes, rather new" nodding to the red doe, beetle earrings dangling from her fluffy ears.
Agitha then brought herself down in a curtsey, which in reality was more or less a half-bow. "My name is Agitha. I am Princess of the Bug Kingdom, it's very nice to meet you" she stated, with a clear attempt at sounding regal in her airy voice. "What is your name?" she asked inquisitively, though now she had wandered over to the flower that the red doe had recently revived. She looked over it carefully with large child-like eyes, her head slightly cocked.
"A...a princess?" the doe said in disbelief. She knew what it was but she had never seen or met a princess before, let alone one from a bug kingdom. "Bug Kingdom, you say?"
The red doe bowed back. "Well, I am honored to meet you." She turned her head to Agitha, watching her examine the flower. The red doe smiled a bit. It was how many reacted to her power.
Then when Agitha asked for her name, she shrugged. "I've been called many things, so you can call me whatever you want. I don't really care."
"Mhmm" She murmured, eyes still on the plant before her. "My kingdom is a very big one. It exceeds into the boundaries of other kingdoms easily, thanks to Agitha's many brave colonists" Her Highness explained, now lifting her head again to look at the doe. Her big violet and blue eyes searched over her for a moment. What a mystery, the workings of the sweet bug princess's mind. "Okay" she began. "Your fur is red...dark red. That reminds me of something...hm. Oh! Oh I know! The Scarlet lily beetle!." her pinkish lips formed a smile. "I wish to call you Lily then. Yes, that sounds very pretty don't you think so?" The princess asked, flicking her cottony tail.
Once the doe heard Agatha say "Scarlet lily beetle" her ears popped forward at the silly sounding name. But then she was glad that she minimized the name to simply "Lily." The red doe nodded. "Then 'Lily' is. You may call me Lily."
Then the doe took the flower from the ground and placed it behind the does' ear.
The fawn let out a small childish laugh, it had a quiet ring to it like the tingling of a bell. Her ear twitched slightly as the other placed the flower behind her ear. "T-this is for me?" the princess fawn asked, cheeks becoming ever so slightly pinker. She then grinned, before rushing to nuzzle the red doe in front of her.
Agitha lowered her body to the ground. The fawn then looked to the doe expectantly, inviting her to lay down with her.
The red doe smiled and lied down beside the little fawn, glad that she was pleased with the flower. "So, where is the queen and king?" the red doe asked.
One of Agitha's ears flicked. "King and Queen..?" This proposed quite a question for the little princess. She never really considered such things, it always was just...her. She couldn't remember for the life of her any rulers before her, even less biological parents to serve as king and queen. "There are none" she replied simply. "Of course there must have been a few generations before me, but my kingdom has no scribes, and therefore no records of them." Agitha seemed rather happy with this conclusion, as nonsensical as it probably sounded to anyone else.
"Well, I live in my castle most of the time. During the day I will go out and gather insects to bring back to my castle." she attempted to explain. "Those that live with me, especially the golden bugs, I think of as the most loyal of my subjects." She spoke slowly, pondering her words as she said them. In reality, this "castle" was more of a old stone house that had been ridiculously decorated to look regal, but in Agitha's mind there was no contrast between her home and a genuine "castle". "But Agitha has authority over all bugs, they all know their princess." Surely, everyone would know of their own ruler. "Bugs can be found in many places, even in lands belonging to other rulers. But that doesn't change my rule over them." she stated, making a polite smile.
The red doe nodded along as she listened to how the young fawn explained it. She let her imagination run as she spoke. She hadn't seen a castle, but she figured that it would be something large like the Ancient Ruins. So she pictured that, but the stones more white and clean looking decorated in flowers and ribbons. It reminded her of how some deer in the forest had spoken about witnessing Abiogenesis, a celebration where the Gods would perform many beautiful and miraculous things as they paraded around the forest.
The red doe daydreamed a bit, but then shook her head to get out of her reverie once the fawn finished. "Where is the Kingdom?" she asked curiously. "Is it outisde the forest? How would you get to it?"
"Well, I guess you could say it outside this forest. But I'm not quite sure how I got here, or where these woodlands start and end." Her highness began, sounding a little distressed. With a flick of her tail she gladly pushed it away to talk about something more to her interests- herself. "My castle lies in some countryside, a few miles from the closest town. That is where most of it is" A fanciful essence began appearing in Agitha's gentle voice. She was obviously enjoying the attention. "Do you know of any places like that?" She asked hopefully. She couldn't help but worry about her dear bugs at the castle, they must be wondering where their princess had gone.
"Well the forest is endless," the red doe said at first in response. Then she cocked her head to the side and thought.
"Ummm...I don't know of anything like that...The closest thing to it is the Ancient Ruins, but...it's in ruins. And the closest thing to the countryside is the Birch Forest or maybe a little clearing next to the Ancient Ruins."
Bayleen; "E-endless?...I certainly knew it was Large, but not endless." Agitha looked amazed and afraid of the concept. She listened reluctantly to the rest of what the red doe had to say. "I saw those once before, but I was pretty far away when I did. I liked them because they looked a little like a castle or cathedral or something but..." she trailed off. "There must be someway out of this forest. Surely one of you know some way...? I mean not that I don't like it here, but I can't simply disappear. My bugs will worry." her soft voice quavered.
MissButterflyCaught; Thank you so much! ♥ *noms cookie*
The red doe shrugged. "Sorry. I don't know a way out...But I know that there are many other deer of the forest who have gotten in and out. Though I don't think the Gods would simply have a portal appear. They're a bit more...subtle and wise enough for that not to happen. But I really wouldn't know...I've never been out of the forest, but all I know is that I just kind of...appeared here. I don't know of my fawnhood, of even if I had one."
Well, it certainly wasn't what the princess wanted to hear, but perhaps what she needed. Her pretty face formed a disgruntled pout. "You don't remember being a fawn? How interesting. So you knew everything about living the moment you were born? Well, not "born" I mean but you understand...You know, many bugs are like that, very strong instincts." She nodded to herself, as though confirming her own words.
She then paused, noticing something peculiar in what the doe had just said before. "What do you mean gods? Are you referring to the golden goddesses?" Agitha was always going on about some sort of nonsense. Such a silly girl.
((don't feel obligated to look up any of the stuff Agitha talks about that are taken from the game she came from, I turned 90% of her game universe into her own fabricated fantasies, so you don't need to understand them or anything c: ))
(Haha alrighty. Plus, I/my doe understand that she has a very far-fetched and imaginative mind and the doe even thinks that she could be making it up, however being at the same time true haaha.)
The doe replied, "I didn't need to figure out what everything was. I just knew, I guess."
Then she took a moment to explain the Gods. "The Gods are the ones who created the forest. We, deer don't see them very often though. But once in a while they hold festivals and celebrations. That's when we are able to see them. They're huge deer!"
"Oh" Agitha's fluffy ears perked, listening to every word spoken. She found it all so fascinating. They reminded her of stories she was told when she was especially young, by an old woman whom she visited. "So...So that is why I saw those deer bent over so oddly by those white stone statues!"" She sprung to her feet, attempting the position herself. "They were praying! Oh how wonderful!" she exclaimed enthusiastically from her awkward stance, allowing herself to collapse again and rearrange herself back into laying. "Have you ever seen them yourself?" She asked, looking up at the red doe blinking her large blueish eyes.
The red doe laughed at the fawn's attempt to resume the bowing the position. Then the doe stood up and bent her front legs, allowing herself to lean down. "This is the praying position," she spoke as she displayed the stance to the fawn.
"I have seen them, but only once and I didn't get a good view since many were crowded around the diety, as usual. It's not everyday that they come into the forest as I have mentioned before. Actually, her name is Auriea. She's so beautiful. I bet one day you'll see her soon."
"Auriea Auriea" She murmured to herself. "Oh I hope so, I would very much like to!" She made a mental note to go back to those statues one day to pray. It would be rude to be a guest in a home (forest in this case)and not give anything for the host. "Did she plant this tree? It must be so many lifetimes old"
[=red] "Pshhhftt..Yeah, she probably has!" the doe exclaimed. "This work could definitely not be made by any mortal deer...or immortal for that matter. You'll find that the deer here come in so many varieties and personalities and appearances. Some may look terrifying, mean...and others may look sweeter and of course, beautiful." [/red]
(Le bump :3 Urgh, sorry for my being inactive by the way! I've been so busy with school, but I do check in on TEF everyday or so even for a few minutes....)

The doe's ears flicked
Then she looked the doe up and down. She hasn't seen a human-faced deer in a while. Now, most wore masks, conceiling their human face.
