Just a little story...
A huge stag with grey-blue fur and a skull mask is lying , nestled under the willow tree by the lake. He seems to be looking distantly out to the crystal clear waters, his wide eyes following the insects. A few deer stop by the lake for a drink when they spotted the stag, they froze in fright taking in his twisted antlers and haunted face. He saw their expressions and spoke calmly his voice bold and brave,
" Do not be afraid...I am here to answer questions, not to kill "
The deer calmed when he spoke and settled down under the old willow tree
" So, what would you like to know...? " They could not think of a question until one young doe spotted the crying idol upstream.
" Why does the crying idol weep? .." she murmured.
" A speldid choice " said the stag " settle down now this is quite a story... " He began the story his voice passionate and ringing in their ears.
A few years ago a group of deer were resting in the forest. It was a hot day and they were worn out, the heat making them irritable and exhausted. It was a few minutes before one doe said,
" I wish there was something new in the forest, theres just a pond, oak tree, rocks and a drinkplaat. It's been like this since I was born, it's getting boring... "
A young stag cut her off. " Don't be ungrateful to the Gods, they worked very hard on creating this haven for us..."
Another stag butted in, " I think she's on to something here, though. Why don't we pray to the Gods for something else in the forest? It won't do any harm. " After a moment of thinking they all agreed and made their way up to the Church. (This was the ruins back then)The Church was beautiful, it's windows were colourfully decorated. Royal blues, violets, green and gold it was all there. The brick was white marble, it shone and roses crawled up the walls filling the air with their sweet arouma. The deer entered through the huge heavy oak door and up to the shining white Abiogenesis idols. They bowed their heads and prayed. They doubted their wish would be granted, but they were wrong.
Overnight the Gods created a little girl, she had beautiful black hair tied up, Her skin was quite dark although she looked as fragile as a china doll and ghostly. She wore a white dress and thick brown boots. She was know as The Girl In white.
She entered the forest and the deer crowded around her. The girl was so kind and so sweet.
She taught the deer to dance and pirouette. She twirled around and around in her little white dress and the deer learnt a sidestep dance. The girl would also pick fruits for them to eat and sit on the side of the pond feeding them apples and oranges, she spent most of her time entertaining the deer of the forest and in return the deer let her ride on their backs, which she loved. She had no real name and never spoke a word, as she had no language. She only had the deer's body language, she could laugh and she could sing tunes but that was it.
Over time the forest came to love her, the birds sang for her and twirled around and around her, the rabbits and squirrels would follow her and she would sing to them. The little creatures would give the girl gifts in return, such as necklaces made from flowers and pendants made of beautiful pebbles.
But the thing that loved her the most was a giant idol that stood not very far away from the pond. He loved the little girl so much that he let little white flowers grow all around him as a gift, the girl loved the idol too. She did not see him as just an ugly piece of stone, she kissed him and danced around him laughing her sweet laugh.
Until one day...a Darkness descended upon the forest. A huge black werewolf streaked with silver entered the forest. His claws were as long and as sharp as glinting kitchen knifes, teeth as sharp as barbed wire but the most terrifying thing was his eyes. They were bright yellow and gleamed with evil and hatred.
The Girl in White came across him one day, and knowing nothing of danger in her life she greeted him as an old friend. He smiled his charming smile as she danced around him and laughed, then the wolf offered in return a ride upon his back. She clung to his back as they tore through the forest but as she got off the wolf blocked her way.
He was jealous of the little girl, he envied how she was so beautiful and sweet and how everything loved her and he was a huge ugly monster. The werewolf lunged at her and cut out her beating heart and took her soul, vanishing to a haunted forest by a human pathway where he released her soul to haunt many after.
The forest was so upset, a cold and eerie fog descended upon the air.The deer mourned her loss for months , heads bowed and hearts heavy. The flowers drooped and the birds stopped singing, they fled to the silver birch forest. The church, without the Girl's heavenly prescence and love began to crumble until it was just ruins. To save the Abiogenesis stones, the deer had to move them to the top of the hill before they crumbled too the deer placed them on a platform hoping the sun would keep them alive.
But the Idol loved the Girl in White the most. When she was killed he began to weep, tears flowed from his stone eyes and into a ditch creating a small stream, leading to a pond. There was nothing anymore to tell him that he was worth something, nothing to make him feel loved. His tears were not just of water, he wept tears of the blood marking the death of the Girl In White. The blood splattered over the white plants around him turning them into red poppies. If a deer were to accidently run through him their pelts would be covered in the blood of the girl, much to their horror at first. But at least it reminded them of her...
The endless forest was never the same after that, and even today you may find things missing, crumbled away at the disappearance of the beloved Girl In White...
Awww, poor Crying Idol. =(
