Downloaded Slugg's spell saver and tried it. I do not know how it works. I feel so stupid. Also it seems half the time I log out now I have a problem where I lose my spell data and become a regular deer the next time I log in, so I kind of need to know how to use it. I've tried just.. saving and loading it up using the spell data saver but alas. I'm still a regular deer. 8x
I'd also like to use it so I can have more than one deer.
No, I don't use Vista either.

No! *Slaps you* Spell Saver
Spell Saver does not affect the actual file in the userdata folder.
If you use the latest version everything is explained to you as simply as possible in the readme files, from within the program.
If you have any trouble with it, check the troubleshooting page out.

@_@ I'm trying to use it
It's not meant to be used
When you have your set, quit TEF, (don't log out first), then you can use Spell Saver to save your set.
You see, TEF only updates the spelldata.cgr file when you quit the game, so trying to save a new set whilst in-game, won't work.
Edit: It actually saves after leaving the options screen too, but whether or not it just saves the preferences or both, (the preferences and your current set), I don't know, but if it does update the spelldata file after leaving the options screen, then yes, you should be able to save your set whilst the game is running, just as long as you go in, and then back out of the options screen before doing so.
