..Something wrong with TEF.

...Okay what the heck ;_;

I started playing TEF today, and for some reason, my Windowed view had gone back to full screen, and I was logged on as guest!

So I logged on 88, logged off, got my spelldata from my email draft, deleted all old spelldata, looked through all folders to make sure there was none left anywhere, logged on, and 88 still didn't have her spelldata! I did this multiple times, and... It didn't work.

I donno what to do. ;_; It'll be really hard to get her mask back too..

Okay.. so it's not just spelldata, it's the set saving itself. Like.. Someone just cast the peacock feathers and a few pelts on me, and I sneezed one pelt off, and the whole set thing disappeared. I still had the peacock antlers, but I couldn't sneeze them off if I wanted too.

Then I quit the game, and opened it up, and the antlers were gone!

It's not saving ANY of my pelt data. It's really weird!

I don't know about this, but I'm wondering if reinstalling TEF would let you be able to use spelldata again. Maybe there was just an odd mess up in the files? :/

Hmm.. yeah, that might work.

Argh... nope, it didn't

Argh... nope, it didn't work. Dangit.. that means I can't play as On or 88 or Koi anymore without having to get the spells cast all over again.. Gah. I wonder what happened. ;_;

Also, Toboe, thanks for the offer, but the whole thing is spelldata isn't working on my computer.

Did you accidentally delete

Did you accidentally delete you original spelldata in the userdata section? I did that once and it would not save any of my data. And about the whole your not able to use spelldata thing. Do you use Windows Vista? If you do then in order for spelldata to work you must play the game as administrator! Or it will not work. I'm pretty sure that is your problem. :3

I delete the spelldata all

I delete the spelldata all the time to replace it with the new one, and it worked fine before. Until today, but whats weird, is it went out of Windowed Mode and went back to Fullscreen without me telling it too, and then it logged me in as a Guest, as if I'd just newly downloaded it.

But yeah, I have Vista. Vista 64 bit to boot, but I didn't run it as admin before, and I keep trying to run it as admin, it opens it up, aaand it still doesn't work. It's weird.

I would re-install your game

I would re-install your game to get back the spelldata that saves your spells everytime you get in the game. And will it not let you play as administrator or will the spelldata not work still? Here is a brief runthrough of how I use my spelldata. Hopefully it can help since I use the same Vista. :3
So after getting the pelt I desire in the game, while playing as administrator, I exit the game. I open up the user data and copy the spelldata file. I then save it in its own folder in the My Documents section. (I usually name it "Aegle's Set") Then when I lose my pelt or whatever I go to the "Aegle's Set" Folder and copy the spelldata. Then go to userdata and paste it, and delete the old one.
Another thing if you rename the spelldata file itself it won't work.

Yep, I did the exact same

Yep, I did the exact same thing, I just never ran it as administrator. It worked fine, until today. I just reinstalled it again today too, after that stopped working, and it still doesn't work. I might try to reinstall it once again if I can't get it to work. Thanks for all the help though!

Actually WOAH it totally fixed itself. I don't know how but it DIIIID after I reinstalled it.

YAAY 88 IS NORMAL.
