I never share my sketches. One, because I usually draw in photoshop and end up deleting the sketch layer and Two, my sketches are usually quite embarrassingly messy. This was one that I happened to draw one slow day at work a few weeks ago, I had nothing but a cruddy blunt pencil and no eraser. I wanted to play around with concepts for the secretary antlers.
This is really pretty! I
And honestly, for a sketch this is better than anything I can draw. I know artists can be critical of their own work sometimes but I really think this is great work!

Uruushou: Thanks! Drawing
Saosin: Thank you! I love how deer look when laying down, always so hard to draw that though!
eyestrain: If I draw on paper these day, which isn’t often, I use a hard lead pencil, a 2H I think? And a “Design” Kneaded Rubber Eraser. Still I find even with that, the eraser damages the paper and it will behave wrongly when I try to go over it with inking, markers or watercolors. I rarely use traditional media anymore because the process is so laborious but what I do now when I’m doing something “serious” is sketch in photoshop, refine it, print it out, then transfer with carbon paper to my “real” paper. What a pain in the arse. Rarely have the time or patience for that these days, lol!
quadraptor: Thanks again, you are so sweet. ^^

It sounds like a pain to do
If it's not a fairly new kneaded eraser, there could be too much graphite worked into its mass. For tiny details drawn lightly, I like kneaded erasers since you can make little tendrils that can pick up fine details in corners. But I find them to be destructive or ineffective for other marks. Both Fiber Castell and Staedtler make very good white block erasers that I've never had a single complaint about. They can also be cut with a knife if you need a smaller, more precise eraser.

Apparanza: Thanks!
eyestrain: Oh, I’ll have to try one of those types of erasers! Thanks so much for the advice.
Spyrre: Ninja’d! XD Thanks so much. I quite like the secretary antlers, they are so pretty in game too.
