Shearing day shenanigans

Hadn't been in for a while (life, work, you know the score) but yesterday was the hottest day of the summer so far and also shearing day for my boys, a duty I was happy to finally be able to get done. So I felt like popping back in since I always enjoy it so.

Taking a moment to enjoy the butterflies. It feels nice to be back there.

I continued my peaceful stroll but all of a sudden the forest reality ripped open and I was confronted with a sharp-edged geometric void. Transfixed, I stared into the void, and the void stared back. I began bleating nervously, which probably confused anybody else in the house.

Trembling, I walked nervously towards the void, expecting it at any moment to consume me and deliver me to some mathematical polygonal purgatory. But it closed up as I approached and I was relieved to see the familiar forest floor beneath my hooves again.

I heard mooing and before long I was joined by Eris and a friend and it was a relief to see a familiar deer after my recent near voidpurge.

There was greeting and frolicking and before long I was up my usual stupid tricks again.

We nipped over to the ruins and there was a spot of dancing, Eris' friend leading the dance from on high.

They seemed to have boundless energy for dancing, and kept it up for quite a while, even while Eris and I took a moment to rest and sit down.

Before too long we were joined by a fourth deer and arranged ourselves in a rather pleasingly regular manner around the pit.

After a while I went on a bit of a wander and amused myself in a highly artistic and intellectual manner, by laughing at the way my arse stuck out of this column with my little tail wiggling away.

Eventually we left the ruins for a bit more of a run around and met up with Petaldance and more friends.

There followed another round of running and frolicking, until it was eventually time for me to bow my goodnight and head off back to the little hill to sleep.

It was lovely to see everyone, and I enjoyed that bit of play time very much, especially after having been absent for a while. I look forward to seeing you all again soon!
