Killing boredom by following one of the latest trends.
Scape
Pelt - nightfall: Not genetic. In fact, if Scape were au natural, he would be "naked".
I chose this pelt for him after one of his days as a fawn, when a stag, a few fawns, and he were part of a mini-herd. The pelt got cast on Scape, so the stag decided it should be their "herd color", and they all wore it the whole time they were on. This was during Mardi Gras last year, when spells were sticking to fawns.
Mask - orca: For no other reason except that I liked it.
Antlers - orca: As you know, they're not genetic, but I they seemed fitting for fawn-Scape. He got them around the same time as the mask, and I thought they went well together. I'm not sure what day he started to wear them, but all but my first screenshot of fawn-Scape shows him in them. The mask and antlers are where he got his name from in fact. I thought the orca mask and antlers seemed goat-like, and looking at his picto, I thought it looked like a landscape. "Goat" and "landscape". "Landscape" and "scapegoat". Land|
scape|goat... You can see where I'm going with this. =] So that was it. The set he always wore until spells sticking to fawns was over, but got back as a stag.

Magnet
Pelt - golden butterfly (gold swirly): I wanted a different deer from my dark, short-antlered stag, and I hadn't seen many deer wearing the gold pelt. I wasn't too into it at first, but I grew to really like the golden butterfly pelt.
Mask - real deer: For the same reason as the pelt, I wanted something different. I felt that Scape's little brother would want to be more "deerlike" than Scape was. The mask also goes really well with the golden pelt.
Antlers - real deer (big white): I wasn't going to use these at first. When I decided on Magnet's set in his fawnhood, I had Scape model the set with the magpie antlers. They didn't seem quite right, but a few weeks later, I tried the set out again with the "big white" antlers. It looked good. So that was Magnet's future set. I even had them both on so 'Net could approve the set Scape was modeling for him.
This set is not natural at all. Magnet would also be a default deer naturally. But I'm debating on whether the antlers might be natural...

Richter
Pelt - great argus (leopard): Genetic. Originally chosen because I liked that the pelt had blue eyes, which I wanted Richter to have. Ironically, it's not actually the eyes that are blue, but the surrounding area.
Oh well. I still have her eyes as blue. The wild pattern also fits her.
Mask - real deer: Not my original choice. At first I had picked the whistling mask, for some variety. But it seemed to make her look chubby, and as I decided her personality, the voice was definitely the wrong one. The wilder call of the real deer mask and the way it went with the pelt was a better choice.
Antlers - peacock (feathers): Also not my original choice. At first I didn't what to pick, but I knew I didn't want the doe stubs. I'm not a big fan of them, and they're too common among does. I was suggested the magpie feathers, which seemed good at the time she had the whistling mask. But I changed the mask, she looked a bit too masculine for a doe. So after some debating, it was the peacock feathers. I loved the way they went with the pelt, and they showed she was a crazy spirit at times, but still a doe due to the doe stubs that are part of the antlers (the feathers look doe-like too).
The pelt and antlers are genetic. The mask isn't, of course.

Radeon
I'll keep from using the sections for him. Originally he was going to be a deer completely unrelated to the others, and stay a secret. He'd wear the red pelt only, and go by the title "The Crimson Drifter" (rather that his original title of "The Protector". that one just seemed corny). Basically I was trying to create a legend. |D Later, he was changed to being Scape and Magnet's father, and after some time I figured he'd have the secretary bird pelt genetically, but it has a red tint instead of a slight gray. He wore the red pelt so much as a symbol of mourning for his sister who he thought died when she was a fawn. He felt guilty for it even though it wasn't really his fault. The poppies he wore because she always liked them. He now wears the red pelt less often, but still carries the poppies on days where candles aren't needed. He also likes to cast them on nameless deer, since they can keep those.

Kinsha
Pelt - beluga: Not genetic. Chosen because it was the closest to the stereotypical ninja "outfit" as I could get. He's based off a character of mine who had ninja moves, but I decided Kin-deer would be trying to be an actual ninja. Genetically, he has the golden butterfly pelt from his mother. It's seen from time to time, depending on how well he knows you. He normally hides it do to how bright it is.
Mask - orca: Same reason as the beluga pelt. It's ninja-like. The only blask mask we have.
Antlers - butterfly: Originally because they're like a typical ninja scarf, but they're genetic, from his father (who is unknown).

Blue
Pelt - nightfall: Blue was a blue dragonfly in his past life, so the only blue pelt was my choice. But instead of the gold markings it has, they appear in the shape of his picto, which is a dragonfly. Born with it to show his past life.
Mask: golden butterfly (whistling): They're the only "wing-like" mask, and the sound they make is like someone singing. Perfect for a soft dragonfly voice.
Mask - magpie: The best "wing" antlers that are closest to a dragonfly's wings in shape. Born with them too, to show he was a dragonfly.

Spade
Pelt - secretary bird: Genetic from grandfather Radeon, except without the red tint.
Mask - real deer: Chosen to take after his father.
Antlers - kirin: Genetic from his mother's side (from grandfather Nevermore), and they curve forward the same way as Vipin's.

Back! What I wanted to say
What I wanted to say is that I really like reading these things. I think it give the audience more information about a character. Plus, I like how people decide on sets. Maybe I should make one too XD Poor Spade btw, inheriting antlers from such a freak *shivers*

Oh! I forgot to add something about Richter's pelt! She would've gotten it from her and Kin's father!
