Name: Seshamsut or Essu Origin: Seshat + Hemsut Ancient Egyptian Goddesses of writing and fate. Age: Unknown Picto: Here (stolen from Dalzell who will no longer be played in-forest) Mood Motherly Happenings Comforting Desanm who sees Essu as her mother. She is currently torn between telling her, and letting her believe that she is her mother
Information:
Seshamsut is an oracle, an all-knowing goddess here for one purpose. To give answers to those looking for them. With a very small price to pay. It is said she gives everyone a different task, such as bathing in moonlit water and then falling asleep in the sand. In return, having done those said tasks, she allows one question to be asked and she answers the question with comforting words beforehand.
"The past can never be undone. But the future you can bend to your will..."
Appearance:
Not much is known about Essu, but for one thing we can be certian, her appearance changes completely for every thing and every one. Theives and murderers say that she is the most terrifying thing you'll ever set eyes on. Yet, for children, when she appears to them, they are invited comfortingly. They claim her appearance is of something or someone with "mother-like" qualities. Drawing them in to ask questions. And others say she appears as the one thing you want most, or the one thing you fear the most.
(Artistic license FTW!)
When appearing in the forest, She will wear the kirin pelt, and masks and antlers change regularly.
I picture her as an african american middle-aged woman.
Personality:
As with her appearance, her personality also changes depending on who it is looking for answers. Anyone who has not destroyed their future, or anyone elses, she is not cold in her words. She has no patience nor mercy for those who murder or commit crimes. Her personality matches her appearance, depending on who is looking.
Extra notes:
Essu was created for people who are having troubles with their characters or their writing. If your character cannot remember his/her past, and you want them to remember without having it be cheesy, have them visit Essu in the story she can give them a difficult or easy task, and them give them the answer they seek. Have fun! I only ask, that if writing about her, you can plop a little link in the comments to the story so I can read it too!
Thanks so much! XDD She needs a lot of work. See, I didn't mean to make her like Queze in the effect of people actually sking ME questions. Because the deer's creator may have other plans, therefore making her answer irrelevant. She's more for little journal entries and stories, the author has control over her and hopefully already knowing the answer FOR the character ahead of time, she can tell them. XDDDD Am I making sense? owo
edit: DUMB. Read what you said on the "Stories of Old Page" and of COURSE you can write about her! :B!!! -shot- THought you meant something else. XDDD
Lol yeah I understand. She might come in handy for when Queze eventually finds out if he can go home or not...but I'm not really ready for him to find out yet xD
That would be freakign awesome, then she would be like, truend into a human after exiting the Forest, and like she looks like Jyuniper and and omfg how cool. But then she has to go back n' stuff.... XDD Idunno, I would feel like shit tho if he ever left the forest... D8 Who would you play as regularly then? owo
Awww! Thanks Fled! XDDD <3 Feel free to use her however you want. I can guess she would get attached to Des. We should write something together sometime!
