it would not be more than 10 bucks.
Im thinking like 7 maybe 5 per book.
But it would not be for a while least till I graduate( 2 more years)
But i was curious to see how many people would be willing.
Aggh all Im thinking is that it will be a couple years before it will be published.
One I have school
2 I want to do designs for each poems as backgrounds
Problem is I have about 20 or more .
xD! I would certainly think finishing school is more important <3
You should see if there are any fine arts/literary events or something and see if you can get people to critique your work while you're still in school, because unfortunately the lot of us here are kids or young adults and we won't/can't be the judges of the world when it comes to publishing poetry <3
Oh ok, I was gonna say "rather all of a sudden?" but I can see you're just testing the waters for the future (which is always a smart plan!). I still would most-likely not buy it, simply because I don't particularly like books of poetry.
I do however think that the idea of doing an accompanying design is a great idea, and would help decorate the pages other than just being a select few lines. Don't get hung up on the idea of making a design for each poem however; maybe simply illustrate your favorites? Or even do a larger decoration for each chapter (grouping the poems into common themes; ex. poems on love, poems on friendship).
I wish you the best of luck on your plans, and even if you don't plan on selling them, get one printed up nicely for yourself!
edit: "You should see if there are any fine arts/literary events or something and see if you can get people to critique your work" <- Epic agree with this point! You might want to check literary art magazines, as they sometimes offer or advertise such critiques.
Unfortunately Im homeschooled so yeah.
But a friend of mine has been asking me to find out if there are any poetry contest I can enter.
Te get a littler recognization
Thanks you guys.
Tera Ill probably do that no matter what. A book of all my poetry printed even if I dont sell them just seems..... worthwhile to me.
For sure, and it's something nice to work towards too. That reminder that you'll be putting them in a book that you can actually hold will help push you to become even better, and to write things you can be truly are proud of.
bump
As long as it's affordable in
