Basically just practice drawing the character and some "expressions", though they're basically all the same with this guy. -> :|

Though from first to last, I suppose you could call them respectively; Neutral/Thinking (top left), Uncomfortable/Nervous/Awkward (Top middle), Agitated/'snarl'/Defensive/Aggressive (top right), 'Pleased'/Approving/Longing? (lol, a heart. Middle-left), Somber/Dissappointed/Taken aback/Pouty/Exasperated (Upper-middle right), Disbelief/"sigh"/Sad/Hurt (physical)/Braced/Uke (Lower Middle), Distant/Moon Gazing/Thinking (Bottom Left), RAGEPLZ/Protective/Slightly Berserk (Bottom Right)

Lol, a lot of his expressions really fit several bills, so yeah. |D
I am pretty happy with the results.
