Somewhere far away, his heart fluttered. As if a bird set free from its cage. And the being's lips parted in a gentle exhalation, the sound of a man with a great weight lifted from his shoulders. And his eyes, framed with lashes so long and so dense that they seemed as if a moth might be able to make its bed atop them. They were as if black markings around his eyes.
Those eyes, half lidded, milky and white, and yet, not sickly. They were as if being lost in a dream, in clouds or a rich, sweet fog.
He was small at the moment. No larger than a yearling fawn. And he turned his head up in an almost sleepy manner as a single dandelion seed blew past. Getting caught on the very tip of his crimson nose.
"Farewell, darling wish. Little star of the ground" his voice rolled from his lips. Not so masculine, not so feminine. But rich, beautiful. So many things in one, untold possibilities and chances long since given up.
He reached up, with a hand, not hoof, to gently pluck the seed away, bringing it to plush, soft lips, and blowing it away.
