((This is an rp for NikaGika and I! For Nika, Alandri, and Iymeen.))
It was in the calm of the afternoon that a hazy green and purple portal popped up in the middle of the forest, disrupting the calm in the air. Two figures stepped through; one large figure - the frightening visage of a hound-like creature, trailed by a much smaller deer-like figure which had smoke wisps trailing from its body. Both of them bore a pendant around their necks, an object like an eye and blue and green in color.
They paused for a moment, as if surveying their surroundings. But the larger figure froze quickly as if realizing that something was very, very wrong.
"Iymeen!"
The small one turned, and he opened his mouth as if to speak. No sound came, of course, for he was mute - but a small cloud of smoke puffed into the air and took a shape that vaguely resembled the form of his larger companion.

Iymeen peeked out from behind his brother and stared at Nika. He puffed a small smoke cloud in the shape of a question mark as if inquiring the same thing.
She watched him protectively
Alandri glanced back at
Iymeen stepped out further from behind his brother. The fawn nudged Alandri to get his attention, before puffing a series of smokey questions; human face, animal body, question mark. Alandri turned his attention back to Nika. "My brother is wondering if every creature here is like you."
Her eyes watched in wonder as

"Iymeen!" he warned. But Iymeen ignored him and inspected the other, puffing small clouds of smoke as he did. He backed up and huffed, allowing the smoke to form over his face and take on the wispy appearance of a forest hound - the same creature his brother was. He had yet to develop his scare tactics the way Alandri had.
Nika smiled as the little
