RP with NikaGika

((This is an rp for NikaGika and I! For Nika, Alandri, and Iymeen.))

It was in the calm of the afternoon that a hazy green and purple portal popped up in the middle of the forest, disrupting the calm in the air. Two figures stepped through; one large figure - the frightening visage of a hound-like creature, trailed by a much smaller deer-like figure which had smoke wisps trailing from its body. Both of them bore a pendant around their necks, an object like an eye and blue and green in color.

They paused for a moment, as if surveying their surroundings. But the larger figure froze quickly as if realizing that something was very, very wrong.

"Iymeen!"

The small one turned, and he opened his mouth as if to speak. No sound came, of course, for he was mute - but a small cloud of smoke puffed into the air and took a shape that vaguely resembled the form of his larger companion.

"What do you mean?" The predator glanced down and then shook his head. Try as hard as he may, he could not will the visage away. "Iymeen, this can not be right. Touch me. Is this real? Am I really a forest hound? Why do we look like this?"

Iymeen nudged his brother's foreleg and then nodded. It appeared as if they were stuck this way. He puffed another cloud, this one taking a circular shape.

"Yes. The portal must have done this to us...come with me, Iymeen. We must have caution. This is not home, and yet I have the look of a beast from there."

Nika's ears pricked as she

Nika's ears pricked as she heard talking from nearby. Not meaning to eaves-drop, but she over heard their conversation. She peeked her head from around the tree she was lying next too and saw the two creatures: a little fawn, and some sort of grotesque hound. She slowly rose to her feet and moved around the tree.
"I could not help but overhear, but are you in need of some assistance?" Nika asked as she looked over the two. She smiled kindly at the two, hoping that would make them more comfortable of her presence.

Alandri pricked his ears at

Alandri pricked his ears at Nika's voice, and he turned quickly and moved between her and Iymeen. She had offered them a smile, but he had traveled through too many worlds where smiles were false and beings had taken advantage of them when they fell for the feigned kindness. He tilted his head and observed her - a strange creature with the body of an animal but a face...then again, he couldn't outright judge. He, himself, was stuck in his current form for all he could tell. He measured his words carefully, and then responded, "We could...possibly use some assistance. Or, at least, we would like to know where we are."

Iymeen peeked out from behind his brother and stared at Nika. He puffed a small smoke cloud in the shape of a question mark as if inquiring the same thing.

She watched him protectively

She watched him protectively moved himself in front of the little fawn. "You are in The Endless Forest. It is a peaceful and safe place." She kept her distance from the two to show that she meant no harm. Watching the smoke come out of the little fawn's mouth was shocking, yet amazing to the doe. How it had formed a perfect question mark was nothing like she had ever seen.

Alandri glanced back at

Alandri glanced back at Iymeen. The Endless Forest? It was by very slim chance that the portal ever dropped the brothers in a peaceful or safe place. "By chance, could you tell me on what world this...Endless Forest is located?" he asked. Not that he would have been able to do anything about leaving it - not yet, at least. Opening portals always took a significant amount of energy and he could only open it again after quite some time had passed.

Iymeen stepped out further from behind his brother. The fawn nudged Alandri to get his attention, before puffing a series of smokey questions; human face, animal body, question mark. Alandri turned his attention back to Nika. "My brother is wondering if every creature here is like you."

Her eyes watched in wonder as

Her eyes watched in wonder as the little fawn spoke to his brother with smoke. "Well, to be honest, I do not. I am not sure anyone here knows what world we are in," she said, her eyes scanning over the strange creature, "And no, not everyone is like me, but many are." Her hazel eyes moved over to the fawn, her lips forming a smile. Her curiosity towards the two was growing, but she would not question them.

A sigh escaped the jaws of

A sigh escaped the jaws of the hound. That information wasn't very useful at all. Her response to Iymeen's question had the young fawn interested though, and Alandri didn't notice that his brother had snuck around him towards the stranger until his ears picked up the sound of the small hooves padding their way over to Nika.

"Iymeen!" he warned. But Iymeen ignored him and inspected the other, puffing small clouds of smoke as he did. He backed up and huffed, allowing the smoke to form over his face and take on the wispy appearance of a forest hound - the same creature his brother was. He had yet to develop his scare tactics the way Alandri had.

Nika smiled as the little

Nika smiled as the little fawn approached her, her eyes moving over the little smoke figure. She guess what he might've been asking, "Are there others like your brother? Well, I have not seen a creature like your brother, so I am not sure." She watched as the smoke figure faded away, smiled, and said, "That is truly and amazing gift. I have never seen such an ability."
