It was quiet.

It was so very quiet here. Such a strange sensation, it was. He was sitting on the edge of the hill, staring down into the pond. It too seemed to fall under the curtain of silence that enveloped this place, for even its ripples were soundless. Indeed, the only sounds to be heard of were faint, and mostly inaudible.

What were those sounds, anyway? Perhaps it was due to the cape that enclosed his face, but he had quite some trouble discerning it. He was tired, perhaps. All day he had wandered around this realm, searching for nothing. There was indeed nothing else for him to do.

There was something nearby.

How that thought had birthed itself in its head, he did not know. Perhaps it was mere instinct. He lifted his head, glancing around. If something was indeed heading his way, it would be better to know of it.

[[Crap I'm sorry for taking

[[Crap I'm sorry for taking so long. Been a little busy I'd say. I'll use this guy. May not seem so but he actually shares a couple of similarities with your one.]]

A buck, whose fur wore patterns on golden-ish base, lowered his antlers down to the ground at where he was, at the poppy patch at the ruins, picking up fresh poppies to wear on his antlers. He faced the usually busy sunny and warm area of the pond with the front of his body, the darkened glass the eyeholes of his mask were filled with blasted some of the direct input from the sun away as it was reflected. He now walked forwards to the area, hooves pushing him forward as they dug in the soil, and then the forest area was left and the sun shined even more; he'd just entered the area. He was up to walk over the bridge, for him not being in the mood to jump over the short something of a river set deep, hovewer, something managed to catch the attention of his before he could go on at full swing. He allowed to let his sight slip fainly; he was being careful. Walking slowly, he observed; trying to be noticeable as little as possible, yet he could likely be, still. The another was strange and a little intimidating with these shapes, size, and blackness. He had never seen something like that before.

It seemed as if he had been correct. Indeed, some sort of figure had wandered into the general vicinity of the pond. For a brief moment he lost sight of it, only to spot it standing on the bridge.

It took him several moments to ponder over his next course of action. Had he not perceived the other creature to have been watching him, it was likely that he would have continued sitting. Still, it would take more than a few run-ins with the inhabitants of this realm before he determined their true intentions. Perhaps he never would.

And so, he stood, his cape slowly fluttering to the ground. He glanced in the direction of the other creature briefly, unsure of whether or not to make eye contact. Would that trigger it in some way? He did not know. These creatures tended to be a tad unpredictable.
