Hello~
After a few months of
procrastination development, I`ve finally brought
Vector into the forest, and I`m actually quite excited to play him. The only thing is, he`s quite distant at the moment, and highly unlikely to approach anyone else.
Hence the purpose of this blog. ^^ I`m quite interested to see how he`ll react to other deer, considering his general viewpoints on certain things-but I don`t think he`ll be able to do very much in forest yet. Anyone is welcome to rp here-I can post first, if need be. His bio still needs to be filled out-the only thing that really stands out about him right now is the fact that he`s quite confused and pretty much hesitant to approach another deer.
Thank you!
Nika: Plague doctor. So
Plague doctor. So then she knew for certain. He breathed in slowly, as if attempting to stir himself from a lengthy sleep. "My name? ...You may call me Vector." Anything was better than the term plague doctor.
An entryway into another realm... It sounded strange-yet what in this forest was not? If this place really was separate from the mortal realm...
"Might it be-"
He froze. A flurry of memories had pierced their way through his mind, and it was a wonder he did not show any reaction to them. A slight breeze blew up then, ruffling his cloak.
He turned back to Nika then. "My apologies. I was wondering if there was a way to get back to the mortal realm...or, human world, as you referred to it. Though I am not certain it will will possible for me."

How very strange... Vector could no longer summon up any sort of surprise at Nika`s words. He was rather exhausted, more mentally than physically. This...world...was simply an odd one, and he would have to accept it. Could he? He was not certain. It was tempting to further inquire as to possible methods of escape, but he was quite certain that Nika had mentioned magic. That certainly was not something he wanted to tamper with-at least, not for now. There were other reasons, of course, but...
She had brought up the topic of the plague again. He inhaled deeply, trying to gather his thoughts.
"I...do not remember very much." To tell the truth, he did remember some things-a blinding white light, a few fleeting glimpses of something unknown. Yet that was hardly anything tangible-and besides, he was more than a bit reluctant to speak of it yet. "I was not. I...was a mere doctor, is all. Though my profession, I am afraid, has come to an end."

"Ah, I see," the saint said, "I merely asked because I was afflicted by the plague." Her curiosity towards him was growing, especially what time period he was from. "If I may ask, do you remember what year you are from?" Nika asked, looking at him directly as his mask.
The demon simply nodded
"I see." He said after a while, his pupils fading for a while before appearing again, as if he had closed his eyes briefly. He... really didn't know what else to say.
"So then... " Lucipher trilled and then looked around, flicking his long tail. "Damn, where did all those huge purple flowers go...?" The red eyed stag huffed, then looked back at Vector. "...You still don't believe that I'll do nothing to you, right?"

Nika: So she was a plague
So she was a plague victim. Perhaps he should have guessed, considering her knowledge of the sickness itself. Though he could not remember seeing her, he assumed that her death by plague was possible-after all, the world was no small place.
Still, the fact that she chose to ask what year he was quite confused him. Surely, this was just an odd world that coexisted with modern times? What was she suggesting?
He cast a sideways glance at her. "1666." He paused for a moment. "You seem to know a great deal about this realm. I wish not to intrude, but...have you been here awhile?
SilverBlood:
To be honest, Vector had not the slightest idea of what Luke meant by "huge purple flowers." Still, at least they had left the previous topic.
At least, that was what he had thought. It was strange to think that Luke would be suspicious of his own perceptions of the former. Still, he was not wrong. Vector exhaled, flicking his tail ever so slightly. "No." He dearly hoped that his answer would not elicit a violent reaction out of the other. "Though, you do differ greatly from most of ...your kind." Or, at least, what your kind is said to be.

He sighed, purring softly.
"Look, not all demons are miserable, filthy creatures coming from some cruel place called Hell." The six legged stag looked up at him, drooping his ears.
"There are many kinds of us. Like the men have different races, how Dogs have different breeds, and so it goes." Shifting, he curled his tail. "My 'breed' isn't the chaotic, low kind of demon." Looking away, almost looking offended somehow, he breathed heavily. "But fine. Can't force you to trust me."
Raising, he looked at the other for a second. "Oh well. You said you didn't know how you appeared here... odd. Don't you remember a single thing?"

Yet Luke had already inquired as to another subject. "Scarcely anything. There was a bright light, perhaps, yet..." He decided to stop there. "Aside from that, nothing of significance."
Truth be told, he did remember a bit more. Would it be a wise decision to speak of it. He had no idea.

He stayed still as the other spoke, completely focused on the other male. Oh well, he had expected way more than that sentence, but the demon couldn't blame Vector. Shifting slowly, he parted his jaws in a sigh.
"Hmm." Moving his head down, he started eating some small flowers from the ground. The Red Demon spent a few seconds entertained with a cricket before moving his head back up, curling his long tail, as if he had just remembered the masked male was still there.
"I understand." Looking away, he snapped his jaws a few times slowly before thinking of what to do. "So...? What have you been thinking about this forest then?" Lucipher asked in a low purr, lifting his head.

Were the creatures of the forest as curious about him as he was about them? Luke`s questions certainly did seem to give off that impression. Though he himself had inquired to Luke`s origin as well, so...what did that constitute?
He shifted slightly. Should he speak of his thoughts to Luke? There was always a possibility that he had toying with him this entire time, yet...
"I am not certain. This is a strange place, to say the least. There are many things here-both living and inanimate-that I will admit I have never seen."
Nika:
"300...years?" The implications behind that statement were almost enough to make his voice crack. "Then, that suggests...this place is a bridge through different points in time?" It was a spectacularly confusing concept. Still, Nika had mentioned something else-specifically, the amount of time she had resided there. She seemed to be in relatively well condition. Would it be the same for him?
There were still a myriad of questions he wished to know the answer to, though he suspected he would never truly know what this realm was. Perhaps it was best that way? He did not know.

He nodded, agreeing to Vector's comment. It was true, after all. He had himself gotten surprised by many of the things seen in the forest. Not that he was normal to the eyes of others.
"You're right." Luke mused, sighing softly. That forest was an odd place. "First time I came in, this place gave me the creeps. It is, indeed, spirit filled. Not only spirits, some creatures I never thought that would exist myself." The stag shuddered. As he has said before, his species was totally connected to the spirits, and the presence of many of them made him feel rather uncomfortable, yet oddly calm, as if he was sure he had company all the time. "I still like it. I thing you will, sometime, like it too. It depends on the way you see it."
He paused. He really shouldn't be making sure one would like it. In the end the forest was as disturbing as it was beautiful and calm.
Too beautiful and calm.

He paused then. Should he have spoken those words? It was too late to go back on them, however. He was not sure how Luke viewed him, so perhaps it would be best to stay silent. He did not know. All he really had the power to do was remain seated, staring into a forest that he did not believe he would be able to understand.
"To be completely honest, the objects within this forest disappeared from my realm a long time ago. Their presence here almost makes me suspect that this place has been...forsaken."
Yet forsaken by what? God, of course, yet...using the same reasoning, had his world not been forsaken as well? There were a number of reasons attributed to the events occurring in his world, most all of them concerning a higher power. Which one had he believed? Had he believed any of them? He did not remember.

"I..." To be completely honest, Vector had not the slightest idea of what to think. Nika had been for a mere few months, it seemed-yet she appeared to be quite accustomed to the forest. In contrast, it seemed to hold an impossible amount of questions for him.
Perhaps this was not the strange hell he believed it to be, but it was certainly not something that not be easily explained. He was still half-convinced that this realm was hiding a number of secrets within it, but would he have the nerve to discover them? Or rather, did he have a choice?
"...I suppose the aspect of this realm that confuses me the most is the appearance of those within it. I have little idea as to....why I appear this way." Yes, he still donned his doctor`s clothes, but he seemed to be within the body of an animal. Why so? It was strange, perhaps, to think that he had not noticed it until quite some time after he had first awoken.

He nodded. Well, Vector was right, after all. He didn't know if he would ever get used to that realm. For himself, it was easy He could always go home and back, whenever he wanted to. But, could the other? Feeling chained to one place seemed horrible. But, wasn't Vector also chained to the mortal world before, too? Still, as dark and noisy as it was, it was still the healer's home. Home is home, liking it or not.
"I understand." Luke meowed, curling his long tail and then looking away, letting his pupils fade, yet listening. V-shaped red pupils appeared back as Vector mentioned a single word.
"Forsaken?" He asked, moving his head back at him and purring. Forsaken. That was the word chosen bu the masked male. "...Indeed." Yawning, he drooped his ears. If he had skin covering his skull. he would be with a serious expression, musing. "Sometimes, it feels like we had been forsaken ourselves; feels like the world around us had been forsaken." With a heavy snort, he looked down at his hooves.

"I suppose your body becomes what it is in this realm, if that makes sense," Nika said, "Not everyone who enters here is a deer. I have seen wolves, deer hybrids, dragons, and so on. But then again, not all are from the human realm. They could already be what they are in the realm they are from." The saint looked over his mask again. "I would recommend to not over think it. You will most likely go mad searching for the answers to this realm, unless you are lucky enough to have The Twin Gods tell you."

Silver: To say that he was not at least a bit surprised at Luke`s words would be to lie. Demons did not talk like this. He knew that for a fact. Or, at least, he believed he did.
Perhaps the things Luke had been saying were truly genuine? It was not as if he had instantly disregarded everything he had said up until now as false-had he?-butt now, the things he was saying seemed almost...
Human.
"Yes..." He trailed off for a moment, thinking. He would rather not think for long, however. "I suppose when certain things happen...it seems as if there is nothing to turn to. Even mercy comes with a price." Of what he was referencing, he was not quite certain. It was a number of different things, he supposed, too jumbled and gray to put a single, solid memory to.
Nika:
The Twin....Gods?
It was impossible-it had to be. Up to this point, he had been paying careful attention to what Nika had said. Her last words, however, were enough to make him freeze completely.
There were more Gods? It was utterly absurd to think about...yet, should he really be surprised. He did not know.
"Twin Gods? So...that means...this realm..." What was there to say? "Is this realm dominated by...pagans, then?"
He could scarcely believe what he was saying. In any other time, thoughts like these would have never crossed his mind. Yet look at what he had run into-a strange forest, dominated by strange creatures and pagan shrines. Was it possible that the statues that these creatures bowed to had a legitimate face to them? It seemed impossible.

Stretching, the red pelted stag sighed, curling his long haired tail around. Finally, he parted his jaws slightly, staring into nowhere. The demon remained like this before the sound came once again.
"There is no such thing that can be earned without a sacrifice." Luke swallowed, drooping his ears. "If you want something, pay for it. That's what the world says." Stretching, he looked up at the trees, then back at him. "Every single thing happens for a reason." And with that he fell silent again, looking down.

"All living creatures suffer." He said and looked down, curling his long haired tail. "Suffering us part of life. There is no life tithout ups and downs." His red pupils fading, he paused. His skull - Which worked almost like an insect's exoskeleton and worked as a kind of protection - was shattering now, shard by shard falling to the ground. Beneath the bone structure would be found the true 'skull', this one covered by flesh and fur, with the same long muzzle and now having a canine-like appearance; not unlike the way a Japanese Dragon's head would be shown in books and old prints: Wolf-like long, furred muzzle, with antlers on top of the head. The difference was that the Red Demon didn't have long whiskers.
Opening his eyes - which were way more natural now, being it the natural sclerotics, iris and pupil, even when the pupils were still ink V-lines in the stag's ruby eyes - he blinked, and looked up back at Vector. He hoped that that wouldn't have startled the other too much... But what was his fault if he did?
"After all," He purred, perking his ears towards him. "We bleed just to know that we are still alive."

Nika: "I have." To be entirely honest, he was not completely sure of its true identity. It did seem like a cathedral, yes, but of it there were many qualities that he could only describe as being....well, a bit off. And like everything in this forest, it seemed only to present more questions than answers.
"It seems to be some sort of Christian structure...but I remember seeing a number of black insects of some sort hovering amongst a grave. For a moment, I wondered if the place had been....possessed, somehow." He dipped his slightly, in a movement that could almost be described as modest. "You say God cares for this place. Perhaps you are correct..."He paused for a moment then. "Yet, it seems so odd. To me, at least. Everything about this realm seems so...otherworldly, to be frank." Perhaps it is.
Silver:
It would be a lie to claim that Luke`s words did not carry any sort of wisdom within them. In fact, they sounded almost...familiar, in a strange sort of way. Were his words entirely true? Perhaps. He had suffered, the people around him had suffered. Yet ultimately, he did not know. Still, Luke`s words brought with them a grim yet almost comforting familiarity, a metaphorical quote of knowledge between a impoverished citizen and their fellows, something universally known yet never spoken.
He may have commented, in fact, had Luke`s "face" not happen to come fractured just then. For an brief yet unspeakably inexplicable moment, a surge of panic had swept through him-this was it, the end, he had been deceived. Yet a moment passed, then another, and nothing still. He did not know what had just occurred, though he had a feeling that it, perhaps, had little to do with him.
He had been watching out of the corner of a single eye, concealed between the thin frame of his mask, this entire time. Now he swiveled his head around evenly. Peering at his face-which seemed far more normal now, apparently-he finally managed to speak.
"If...I may mask....what exactly just happened to your face? Or, rather...mask?" His voice, though still rather monotone, carried with it a strain of curiosity.

"It is not like a normal bone structure. It can grow back if I need it. But now, I don't think you mean any harm to me." Truth be told, being a 'helmet' was a function indeed, but not all about it. Shrugging like it was nothing, Luke looked back at him, purring softly. "Or... does that make you uncomfortable?"

"Well..."
Of course it had been rather unsettling, but that was no longer the issue at hand-was it? For despite the fact that he had seen what he had perceived to be the entirety of Luke`s face melt off, it was the fact that his species could so do that....what? Fascinated him? Unnerved him? Once again he thought back to his older teachings; there was nothing that-
Wait.
A sudden wave of helplessness had washed over him. This realm...he had known that he was ignorant to its true nature from the moment he had stepped here, but now he realized he utterly at a loss he was. Did anything remain, something that could aid him in his quest to understand this realm? Was it worth understanding? He did not know-for after all, it seemed as if the only things that could possibly teach him might not be legitimate themselves.

"I get it." Luke said simply, parting his jaws in a quiet yawn; curling his tongue as he closed his red eyes. "Yeah, my kind even surprises myself sometimes. It's an odd, complex kind... Even though, not more complex than humans are."
Purring, he looked up at Vector, blinking his red eyes -which if you watched closely, could spot flecks of goldens, oranges and even shades of pink- and cocked his head to the side, his wide ears 'flopping' to the same side, mostly like some dog ears. "I get it. Well, many creatures seem to get curious, intimidated or other like this by what I do. Or better, by what my kind does... to tell the truth, by what the many kinds of odd creatures which live here... and in other worlds. I can't blame you." Stretching as he sat back down on his rump, he stretched a leg to scratch at his ear; his weight being supported by the other five long legs. As he had finished he curled his tail, looking back at him. "I get what you mean... even though the 'mortals' as you name them also... make me slightly uncomfortable."
