Illegitimate Bastard Child • Parasite • Soulless
Cousin to the Nephilim.


It's common knowledge that devils can not bestow life organically. For life to be convinced you need a soul, one that these demons do not own or have possession of in natural means. Because of this, there is a kind of demon that lives off the sins of man. Creating illegitimate life by farming DNA and implanting it with a stolen or damned soul. Seeding it inside an unsuspecting womb for the parasite to take root.

Pregnancy is like any other but the birth is more horrendous. For the most part the parasite kills it's host upon leaving it's cocoon, rarely the mother comes out intact. The bastard child is born seemingly lifeless. Cold to the touch. Breathless but animated. Sometimes deformed depending on the hierarchy and strength of the incubus. If it even survives to reach childhood, it will slowly begin to appear alive. Taking it's first breath upon reaching puberty as the soul is now connected unwillingly to the body. Striving but weakened.

It's not unheard of for the soul to take on a mind of it's own. They become destructive towards it's captors in a last ditch effort to free themselves. The Cambion always know that the soul is not theirs. It comes off as an empty feeling. A constant state of suffering as they acknowledge that they are in fact a burden.

Sometimes it's notable as they take on a Slothfull listlessness. Succumbing to their Envious desires to be normal and the ever growing Greed for whatever material gain they obtain. Others, hide it with Pride. Consumed by Wrath and overwhelming Gluttony, because no matter what they have, it's never enough to sustain their Lust.

Unlike his sister who creates faux happiness, he emits desire. It rarely, if ever, effects others unless they personally allow it. If so, then the character may begin to feel an obscure haze settle in their mind and may pick up a strongly aromatic scent that has a bit of spice. Generally desire is greatly effected by their personality, as desire has more than one expression; jealousy, spite, lust-ectect. There's a myriad of possibilities.

When in contact with his sibling, their auras conjoin to create a sense of false euphoria. Much like ecstasy does but without the addiction. Fortunately, both siblings seem immune to their own abilities.

Due to Cole's desire effect, most if not all relations are superficial. Unable to connect with things personally without him subconsciously manipulating them has caused him to realize that no one genuinely likes him for him. So, he puts on a façade. Even then there's always a select few that he grows attached to. Those in particular he personally manipulates with wordplay, giving himself a slim sliver of hope that they'd genuinely like him in return.

Those who aren't genuinely liked never know if the relation is real or not. He treats all the same and he rarely shows favoritism unless it is a child. As to him, children deserve more attention than anyone else.
