===============================================
Revtheyr lay curled up under his favorite old willow tree, sheltering from the downpour of rain in someplace other than the playground. He was tired, but healthy for once, simply sleeping and not unconscious. Not even sleeping yet... But that would come in time, since it was so peaceful here.
Even so, Rev couldn't help but be grateful that he was back in the forest. This form was tiring to take, but he had promised Cell he would hold onto it for as long as possible this time. It would come easier with practice, probably. Just like his human form had.
Cell slept at his side - although it was doubtful that wild horses would wake his mate up, sick with a cold as the poor stag was. He wouldn't leave him, but he didn't want to risk disturbing the much-needed sleep, either. Lest he worsen his condition. Before the scaled stag had dozed off, Rev pulled brush and leaves over the both of them to keep out the chill, and to provide a bit of shelter from the droplets. Not that it did overly much. The tree was doing the primary sheltering.
He WOULD sleep - but not yet. He still had things on his mind... deer he hadn't seen in ages... Some who may have forgotten him... Would they forgive his long absence?
[Update:] The rain had ended
The rain had ended sometime during the evening, and Rev was just waking up. Cell was still at his side, although looked no better. He would let him sleep for now... the sleep would do him some good. Besides, he had nothing all that important to talk to him about anyway. Let him get what benefit he could from the sun's rays. And MY it was sunny today...
He settled himself even further, and made sure his legs were tucked neatly under him. Regardless of the current fatigue - he DID want to promote a graceful image of himself. Giving his coat a few experimental licks, he took in the scenery around him... He had missed this. This peace... this tranquility... Rarely broken, even by disputes.
Perhaps, here, he might dance again.
