If you press stand up, then yo press the button to sit back down, you're sitting :3 It's on the bottom toolbar in-game, click the little tab on the bottom to bring it up.

It you have your animations

It you have your animations turned down you will appear to just lay down in the curled position. Make sure yours is turned up.
