First you need to know how to "air sit". You basically start from a high place (a hill) and run and continually jump so you're "flying". When you're in the right spot, hit ESC, and it will make you sit down where you are in the air and bring up the menu. =) You can read more about it on the Support Forum.
Once you know how to do this, to get on the Idol there's a place you run from behind it that's a little uphill in the border of the Birch forest. It takes some practice though! If I ever see your picto in forest, I'll be happy to show you the perfect place to run from =) And once you know how to do the air-sit trick, there's loads of things you can look like you're sitting on! I won't spoil the fun of you exploring though - that's half the fun (;
It gets complicated.... Set up your hotkeys (hover your cursor over an action and press and F key (like F2, F5... or such... F10 doesn't work and will 'pause' your game so don't try it.) and be sure you have one set up for dancing.
First you have to learn how to 'air sit' - which involves running + jumping continuously from a high place and then pressing the esc key to open the menu. (makes your deer sit down wherever it is at) Pressing esc again will close the menu and then you can press the 'dance' hotkey you've set up to get your deer to stand up and then you can dance/rear/roar etc...
Now, to get onto the idol or any other tall object (or even other deer... < >.< > ) you have to find a hill nearby that is level with the top of the idol - run + jump from the top of that hill in the direction of the idol and try to 'air sit' at the top of it.
..... some things to remember about air sitting.
1. It takes a LOT of patience and practice to get it right.
2. You have to be really determined in order to sit in very precise places
3. Sometimes it helps if you stand directly under the spot you want to land and then simply walk BACKWARDS until you reach the spot you are going to jump from so you know you are lined up and running in the right direction.
4. It helps to develop technique for getting all the keys right... I usually use my right hand on the direction pad with my right thumb pressing the spacebar for jumping, and my left hand to hold the shift (run) key and left pinkie finger to press the esc key...
..... and if all of that only confused you more, I sincerely apologize.... < ^-^; >

It certainly is a bugger to explain, but LighttheSky explained it better than I!
Here's a handy link for you: How to...
It's a topic in the Support Forum about how to do certain things, like the air-sitting glitch we're trying to explain. Have fun playing!
Thank you both so much! I know how to fly and how to airsit, but I tried so much to get on the idol, I thought I did something wrong Thank you for you explanations!!
