I, myself, got ahold of HeartGold a few days ago, but have played almost all of the games since the original pixelly goodness of Blue, Red and Yellow. After seeing all of your lovely posts about Pokemon here in the community, I propose that, perhaps, we could all exchange WiFi friend codes so that we can battle/trade/whathaveyou, sometime~? :3 Then, I could put them all here, as a directory for all of us who would like to connect via WiFi.

To find your friend code: Go to the basement of a Pokemon Centre, where a 'helper' there will give you your PalPad-note, that you must have the first gym badge before you can receive this. From there, connect to the Pokemon WiFi, as you cannot view your code until you have connected to this at least once. After doing this, go to your PalPad, use it, and tap the heading that says '-Your name here-'s Friend Code'. Voila, your friend code ♥ In this PalPad, you'll also see a heading under which you can register other people's friend codes-use this to add people in this directory that you wish to interact with.
Aaand to be listed here: Just state in a reply to this post which game it is you play, your friend code, the levels of your Pokemon, and whether you're open for trading/battling/whatever else, as can be seen below ♥ Ta daaa~!
Also, due to Zergarikiaka's awesome insight, feel free to submit your Pokemon Wii codes if you have a Wii that can connect to Wi-Fi and such, too~! :3 As I do not personally own a Wii, I'm not sure how to get this code-however, I'm sure Google will be your friend in helping you find out how if you're not sure, so yes! Apparently this technique can also allow you to bypass the lack of DS-compatible internet too, which is also pretty nifty. Sooo, just let me know your Wii code in your post, and I'll add that, too ♥

Even if your Pokemon levels aren't higher up and whatnot, there's an option in the Battle menu to fix their levels to 50, or 100. Levels should only be considered if you're playing in an Open Battle,
