"Why'd I even come?" the tall indian boy asked himself as he stood outside the door to the massive building. It's grand decorations and luxourious stained glass windows made his cut-off denim shorts and t-shirt worthless. "I bet there's no one in there I know anyway." He shrugged and shoved his hands into his pockets. In three easy steps he was in the door.
Faunet gracefully ascended down the stairs her deep ocean blue dress complemented her brownn waistlength hair and icy blue eyes. She quickly noticed a rather muscular person for some reason butterflies were in her stomach and her cheeks were rosy red.
Jacob couldn't help but notice all the well dressed dancers as they weaved in and out of the standing groups. Their elegance as they swayed to and fro was almost mesmerizing. He followed each as they made their way around the room until one woman caught his eye. She stood at the base of the staircase dressed in a deep blue gown. He noticed her eyes quickly. They were staring at him rather intently. She's wondering what I'm doing here... at a party like this dressed like a redneck. he murmered to himself. He managed a smile to the beautiful young woman.
Faunets blush deepens when the eyes of the stranger noticed her straring. She could not believe he was smiling at her her impulse was to smile back at the gentlemen.
So she did.
Jacob's grin widened when the woman returned the gesture. He slowly made his way through the crowd and stopped just feet from where she stood. From farther away, he couldn't tell, but now it was obvious that he could see her blushing. Um... hello... he said, taking a small, but polite bow to her.
Jacob felt awkward just standing there. His face started to burn from embarrassment. He looked around the ballroom at the dancers again. Suddenly, he got an idea. Would you like to dance? he asked, holding out his hand.
Jacob knew this song well, as did he know the movements for it's dance. His mother taught him before she died. He lifted his hand to swirl her around. My name's Jacob, by the way. he whispered quietly. He knew that since it was a masquerade ball, he shouldn't have revealed his name to her, but he hoped she would tell him her name in return.
Thanks... he mumbled, smiling glumly. He wanted to ask her for her name, but perhaps she wanted to keep the the tradition of the ball. I, uh, I like your dress, he added, keeping his eyes locked with hers.
Sierra, he smiled, bowing to her as the song ended, Would you care for another dance? Or is there someone else you'd like to dance with? He half hoped that she would say no to another dancer, yet he didn't want to be rude.
No not really actually i was just thinking of having a walk in the garden.Would you like to come or is there someone your waiting for.Sierra was so nervous she could hear her heart beating.
Jacob followed loyally. He was amazed at how well Sierra had glided through the dancers. He himself had trouble squeezing past them. He caught up with her at the staircase.
"Yes," he said, taking in a deep breath, "much better." He gazed out towards the garden. The buds of the roses were still in bloom even in the dark, starry night. A large fountain stood at the far back of the garden. It's presence only made known by the dim lights surrounding it. Jacob looked down at Sierra and smiled, his eyes smoldered softly.
"Alright" he answered, striding swiftly to stand by the bench. He waited for her to sit, then sat beside her. "So... uhm.." he asked, trying to sound casual, "where are you from?" His voice cracked as he looked at her. Her icy blue eyes held him where he sat.
"I build on cars and other motorized stuff," he said, looking at her again. "I have a nice 1986 Rabbit that I just finished a few weeks ago." he made a funny face, then laughed a little. "You don't think that's cool, do you?"
(I'm off to bed soon, so I can't get online anymore. Good night! Thanks for the roleplay! We can finish tomorrow if you'd like.)
"Well, more like rebuilt it." he shook his head, "I dunno, just thought that maybe you wouldn't be interested in mechanical stuff like that. So... what do you do?"
Sure I dont see why not do you want to do the ball cause if so Ill need to over for you cause If Arrow Doe comes back Id like to keep them separate. Which one of my deer do you want?
She entered the ball, her white mask matching her white dress. The people were laughing and dancing and merry. She smiled, it was time to enjoy herself. She looked towards the bar.
"No..." he trailed off, "it's just that you didn't seem like you enjoyed that kind of thing, sorry." He tilted his head, a smile appearing on his lips. "Animals? Hahaha, that's pretty cool." Oh if she only knew, he laughed to himself. "Well, I could tell you were a good dancer in there too," he said, nodding towards the ballroom.
"Hey...I'll have a Vodka and Coke please," She said to the barman as a guy walked over to the bar. She gave him a glance before taking her drink and sipping it.
