Pink Pictographs?

The other day I was running around and I kept spotting pink pictographs, but I could never seem to find the deer that belonged to them. It wasn't just my monitor being weird or something, they were definitely pink compared to a yellow/gold one right next to them on the UI border, and even when I would move, they would maintain that pink color. I did a google search but nothing came up so I was hoping some one could explain it to me?

As mentioned, pink/purple

As mentioned, pink/purple pictograms symbolize a sleeping deer. This is really useful for finding sleeping deer if you need to acquire a pelt spell!

Terabetha - What do you mean? You can get pelt spells from sleeping deer? (I'm still a fawn so I'm still unfamiliar with pelts and such right now)

Spells are now you can change

Spells are now you can change a deer's appearance! Smiling
Try sitting down beside a sleeping deer for a minute or two and you will see a new button appear in the action bar (the menu where you select what action your deer does, bowing, ect). If you click that new yellow button, you can give another deer a random pelt spell!

The trick is you can only change OTHER deer, you can't use spells on yourself.
As a fawn, spells will fade from your deer after a few minutes. You can still wear them, they just won't be permanent until your deer grows up.

I knew about the pelt spells

I knew about the pelt spells and such, and that you can only get them from others (though I think you can choose between the ones that have been cast on you right?) just didn't know you could do that with the sleeping deer.

You can choose to 'sneeze

You can choose to 'sneeze off' one spell at a time. Once sneezed off, the spell is gone. So you can choose but it isn't like having an inventory of acquired spells you can wear at your choosing.

I thought they represented

I thought they represented deer with the genderless option, though? I've seen deer with pink pictograms running around before.

I believe the genderless

I believe the genderless thing is just for fun.
If they move, it means they are sleep sliding, that is a glitch players do time to time.

I get pelt spells by sitting next to sleepers untill I heard a sound after ten seconds or so. If I don't, I try to adjust my position a bit.

I was aware that it started from a joke about how people wanted a doe/female option, but I assumed it had a bigger purpose.
