So some of you might remember I threw this idea into TEF about a year ago, and the reaction I got was very positive, so I've decided to finally work on making this a reality!
Don't get me wrong, I love the roleplay side of TEF. But I love the goofy, more playful side, too! I've noticed over the years that characters have become much more exclusively in-character, all the time. And I respect the reasons for this--it leads to less confusion, more immersion, and the likes.
Which is exactly why I feel like an Out of Character day, hosted on OCTOBER 14th, is just the thing to shake things up. Not only that, it'll be very beneficial to some of the newer or more timid players--it's easy forget that the more intimidating or hostile deer we see in the forest have players behind them, who are absolutely nothing like their characters.
All participants in this event must stay out of character the duration that they take part in the event! Dropping out at any point is allowed, but until then, show everyone the friendly player behind your deer (:
RULES
1. The biggest rule: Please do not disrupt IC characters or those who have asked to be excluded entirely! As well as that, I ask that you note your participation on your user page the day of the event (example,) so as to not cause any confusion to those not participating.
If you're unsure of whether someone is participating or not, simply click on them on the map and look for their pictogram on the spreadsheet.
2. For the sake of organization, the general location for this event will be the playground, although you're more than free to venture anywhere else in the forest. Just remember to keep the first rule in mind.
3. Have fun! Please be courteous to others. Don't spam the moo button, spell spam, enact anything obviously inappropriate, or the likes. Use common sense.
4. The event will begin at 12:00 AM CT on October 14th and end at 12:00 AM CT on October 15th.
