I think you can get it back

I think you can get it back by getting the red pelt from the Crying Idol and sneezing it off. Never tried it myself but I have heard.

I didn't even get the BAN pelt ... and I'm pretty sad about that... and I missed to get one of those amazing masks either... Can you save their SpellData and is it still there when you close TEF?
