Thanks; I tried rather hard trying to get it to look as much like a Thylacine as possible without either overdoing it, or underdoing it. Again, it was referenced to death, particularly with the legs and undercarriage, but still...
And proud you should be--you did a splendid job on it!
I haven't drawn a thylacine before, but I think their back "ankle" being right above their foot would drive me absolutely up the wall in frustration ;;
I agree with the oceanous one, the swirl on that stripe is really neat c:
Fish - Oh god, that had to be one of the worst parts. I had to redraw that "ankle" so many times ;; Thylacines in general, I find rather difficult to draw. They have such a specific shape, and it's hard to get it down correctly. That's not to say I've done that; head's a tick too small, and could be more boxy, and the legs could be drawn better, but this is the best I've been able to pull off, especially as of late.
Eeee, I'm glad people seem to like that. I wanted her to have a marking unique to her (Most thylacines do have a "trail" marking that starts from the longest stripe, but whether or not each one is unique, I don't know), so I went with that (:
Thank you &hearts
Moss - Long time no see! &hearts
I'm so glad you like this. It means a lot to me; really, it does. &hearts !
You should be proud. I am, anyway.
The lines you created are so clean and thin which is something I am unable to do.
I envy people who are able to keep art so clean and simple like this, instead of having messy unrecognizable lines like mine.
That really is an interesting animal...
I actually like messy lines, honestly. There's a certain charm to them that I like; and I love your art (:
It can get hard trying to keep lines like these clean and simple; especially considering how the lines aren't really smooth, and are more jagged than anything. I fuss a lot when I draw with GIMP, long story short, fkskfsk
Thylacines - I love 'em. They're my all time favorite animal. It's a shame they went extinct; been so for the last 74 years or so =/
There is something very enchanting about this picture, I don't know what it is, but I'm really drawn to it. It's clear you love this animal very much, and I'm so sorry they went extinct. ;; <3 How did you learn about them?
I've known about them since I was a little kid. I first heard of them on the old, old, Animal X series. I did a bunch of searches about them afterwards, where I stumbled onto the Thylacine Museum. I've loved them ever since.
With reason! ^^ Not sure why,
Not sure why, but I really like that swirl on the end stripe.
Also, I like the body/legs. o:
Lol, same here. I have a
