"...kin, yes? Familiar... Your kind, I know."

Inspiration struck last night; I couldn't help myself. :/ Akuma directly translates to 'devil'. Her true name is unknown or simply does not exist. Her voice is a deep rumbling growl in her chest. She is an oni obake, a demonic shapeshifter. In the forest she assumes the form of a cervid-like creature that shares the size and build of a bull moose. Upon her face is a mask that changes shape into the likeness of various beasts (demon, bull, boar and lioness). Behind the mask is a face that few have seen and lived on to describe.

Akuma is not violent unless provoked. Her behavior is strange, erratic and most times unreadable. She does not understand the concept of friendship; rather, she views those she trusts as kin. Brothers and sisters. She stalks and obsesses over creatures, persons and places that strike her fancy. Belligerent and aggressive one moment, placid and even puppylike the next.

She is carnivorous and mostly feeds on carrion. Sits still for long periods of time. Does not emote very much, but may learn through observation. After all, the forest has its own language and is confusing to a foreigner. Has been known to give chase out of 'sport'; no intent to harm, just for her own amusement. Haunts the pagan statues and the deepest shadows of the first forest.
