Appearance is the one of a human-faced TEF deer, with blue eyes, dark hair and long pointy ears. Her fur is pale cream with white and golden markings, a white belly and darker legs. Hooves are white. Also tend to shapeshift into a feral-faced deer, most often wearing a part of a skull on her face, while at other times can be completely skull-faced. This is only some examples of the ways she can use forest magic to alter her looks.
born as the result of a secret love affair between a minor norse god and a giantess from Jotunheim. Brought to the forest shortly after birth for her own safety, disguised as one of many orphaned fawns that would often appear in the forest.
in her youth, Nimh grew up among many strong and impressive creatures and she aspired to one day become just as strong and a great warrior like they were. Numerous vicious battles among loved ones put an end to that however, and the young one soon grew to loathe battles and fighting.
she rather tried to be a peaceful creature who would attempt to see things from both sides without being judgemental of either - with mixed results.
made some very bad decisions in life which had her plunge into a black hole of guilt and self-loathing. Managed to fight her way out of it eventually, but the whole ordeal has left her rather insecure about herself and with a somewhat weak mind.
avoids any confrontation if possible, but will stand her ground if there is no other way out.
friendly and inviting to strangers, judges out of personality rather than appearance and will welcome most creatures into her company.
tries her best to be loyal to loved ones, and to be there for them should they need someone to lean on or talk to.
Nimh was perhaps born outside of The Endless Forest, but the forest has still grown to be her true home. As she grew up, Nimh had dreams and visions about the world she came from, then without knowing what those dreams meant, if anything. Later - as she finally was introduced to portals that could take her out of the forest - she was able to meet her true parents and learn why they had brought her to the forest in the first place. Understood why they had done it and was glad she got a chance to meet them and talk with them, but at the same time did realize that if she should one day get an opportunity to go live with her parents, she would probably chose to rather stay in the forest. For now may visit other worlds for a shorter or longer periods of time, but The Endless Forest is and will always be her true home, a home she will return to sooner or later no matter how long it takes.

Yeah, I figured, poor thing. ;;
Nimh was just very protective of her little brother - and the other fawns around - and Windiga looked a bit too suspicious, lol. But she'll might want to investigate him when she's alone and don't have anyone to look after. :'b
Oh she has every right to be suspicious ahaha. He has a reputation as a baby eater. yuy Usually pretty friendly aside from that? Wants cuddles, but gets chased because people wanna keep those babies ye
Ahaha, she would have been even more suspicious if she had known x'D
Nimh was perhaps not too glad to see him around, but I enjoyed the brief interaction, he is such an interesting character! n_n
Haha, she was supercute though. Nimh didn't really get to greet her properly because she was trying to deal with those deer trampling all over Ross, pfft. x'b
Fox;
Haha, yeah, I wasn't sure if I should let her be zapped or not, but when she sniffed him the game made her practically stick her nose into his chest so... zapped. It was interesting to interact with him though :>
Sorry Nimh was so rude to your girl, she wasn't in her best mood at the moment ;; but hopefully they can meet again at a later time for a more positive interaction c':
Lupine;
Haha, I hope she does, it would be too bad if this was the only impression she would get of Nimh :')
And yes, she'll probably feel better soon. c:
Sannosuke;
Ah, thank you, I really appreciate to hear that! Feel free to make yourself comfortable. c':
I'll make sure you stay safe while you recover ^^

Sanno easily caught the smell of blood as it drifted through the forest, carried by the wind. He followed the sent curiously to it's source... a wounded doe trying to gather strength in the Old Oak. One of her legs lay rigid at her side and dried blood stained her short, pale golden coat.
"What's this?
"You poor dear... What's happened to you?
Please, allow me to clean you up."
Despite the recent cold weather, he traveled back and forth from the pond, thowing himself into it to soak his fur, and then returning to wash the blood off with some careful pawing.
That's really nice of you, Nimh appreciates it. c':
Edit;
( Sorry, didn't see you had added an rp until now n_n')
The sound of hooves were nothing new to Nimh. During her day spent in the Oak various deer had passed by outside the hollow tree. Some had sought shelter inside briefly, before taking their leave again. So, the sound and scent of another being wasn't enough to gain her curiousity, where she was laying with her eyes closed, shivering slightly by the cold. Only when a voice spoke, did she finally open her eyes to glance towards the kind stranger. "You don't have to.. " Her voice hoarse, after rarely having been used the whole day, but it trailed off as the stranger took off.
Where he went off to, she didn't know until he returned, obviously after a trip to the pond. So, Nimh remained silent and allowed the stranger to clean her fur, get rid of all those patches of dried blood. "Thank you." She murmured towards him, did appreciate the help more than she perhaps was able to show at the moment.
He remained silent, stern and focused behind his mask.
It took some time and patience to clear all the blood away, exposing the lacerations on her leg. They weren't healing properly and, though naturally frail, it had swelled fairly significantly.
When Sanno was saved in his initial demise as a human by a great and ancient Camphor tree, much of it's knowledge of the forest and the many medicinal properties it contained were imparted to him. With this and his keen tracking skills, along with familiarity with the local area, he was quickly able to gather many essential ingredients to a powerful disinfectant. Things like Fern leaves, dandelion stems, lily pads, toad leg and cats tail, were all close at hand and he rounded them up with ease. With a little doing, he was able to bring down a dove for the all important wing, and also found a variety of herbs growing near the Ruins, most notably the death bell flower. Several trips were involved in rounding up all the materials, but soon he had everything he needed, ready and organized in the Oak for the alchemy to soon to be done.
( Didn't mean to disappear so abruptly last night, but it was getting really late here ;; )
It was quite clear the stranger knew what he was doing, so Nimh remained quiet while he continued to clean the blood from her fur, which resulted in small pools of pink water forming around her. She winced every now and then, especially when he examined her swollen leg, but still remained silent, putting trust in the stranger despite not knowing the slightest about him.
And soon he began running back and forth again, vanishing out of the Oak before returning with something. Some things she recognized, others she hadn't seen before, or did at least not know the name of. But soon her eyes began to drift close, as if tired just by watching him running back and forth. It was in a way soothing to listening to him doing his work, and she was tired and just wanted to sleep but again she opened her eyes when he spoke. "Yeah.." Well no, not really. Nimh had at least not considered any of her wounds life threatening. But then again, she had never intended to go without cleaning them either, but the shower in the Idol had been delayed by the snowfall, which had kept her inside the Oak. Nimh tilted her head a bit, studying the stranger. "Who are you?"
Aside from the occasional mumble to himself, Sanno remained silent as he joyfully prepared the natural remedy. One by one, he took the assembled ingredients outside of the Oak and used his fangs to grind them ground down into a sort of mushy cream. Kept separate, however, was a single garlic clove and also a moderate sheet of Pine bark which he'd managed to tear down with a bit of clawing and gnashing from a tree tucked away in the forest.
He took the garlic in his mouth and, using it as a sort of paint brush, smudged the mulch across the bark, breaking the clove down in the process and mixing it all together with the sweet pitch that dripped from it's surface.
"There..." he uttered quietly, before stepping back into the Oak for the last time.
The white on her chest shown briefly as she struggled to pull herself up, inquiring of this seemingly compassionate stranger. "I...
Sanno's eye dashed away and his face sunk down in remorse. The question swirled around his mind and heart, awakened the evil in him...
JUST WHO, INDEED, ARE YOU, DEVIL DOG? The voices rose and echoed through his mind...
After a moment he shook his head, as if shaking off a blow, and looked back up soberly. The strip of bark still dripped with medicine and hung from his mouth so, stooping down, he applied it to the cut. Though it took hours to gather and prepare, in only a moment it was adhered and finished. And not a moment too soon. Twilight had arrived and the darkness was upon him. Done with the deed, Sanno stepped slowly away from the wounded one.
Suddenly, his head tilted bizarrely to the side and tears started pouring down his right cheek as his eye rolled backwards. A dark flame started rising from the void in his left eye and his body shook violently, contorted at the opening hollow of the Oak.
"I should go." Sanno managed to choked out from behind the quickly thickening veil of darkness before taking flight.
Once in a while she tried to watch what the stranger was doing, perhaps something she could have picked up and used herself at a later time. But it was difficult to focus, and the stranger kept vanishing outside of the Oak, making it more difficult to keep an eye on what he was doing.
Her question had been innocent enough; it was just natural wanting to know the name of someone who went through so much trouble to help a stranger, wasn't it? But from the stranger's reaction it could seem the question she had asked was horribly wrong. So Nimh didn't ask any further, she remained silent while the stag seemed to pull himself out of some unwanted thoughts, and then put the mixture on her wounds. It had a strange smell, but she wouldn't complain about the smell if this stuff would actually help her get better.
Nimh raised her gaze towards the stranger to thank him again, but the words stuck in her throat by the sight that met her. For a moment she just stared, then she forced herself to stand despite the pain, unsure if she should get out of there or trying to help - whatever it was that was happening. But in the next second the stranger made the decision for her, as he choked out a few words and then vanished. "Wait!" She tried to call after him, but when she managed to limp over to the entrance of the Oak it could seem the stranger was already gone. It made her feel bad, not knowing his name or anything... but Nimh would keep an eye out for him, hoping she'd get a chance at having a more proper conversation with him at another time.
