Simply Factual
- His name is Azazel.
He was born of pain, misery and the violence of man. He holds no pleasure in kindness and even less in morality. Do not expect him to be your friend.
- His body is deadly.
His bones are steel, blood of oil and his tongue the deadly metal mercury. To stand too close is to risk your very lifeforce. It is upon this that he feeds.
- He enjoys your misery.
A great pleasure to him is the sight of one running in terror, fleeing the tireless, murderous mirth of this toxic behemoth.
- He fears little.
But one may find sanctuary within water. His body is far too heavy to swim and his one true terror is that of drowning.
- He changes.
Of great misery to this beast is the helplessness he holds with his own form. With damage comes drastic change. Though death is not a thing he fears, lack of being is. He will not end, only cease to be.
- He is mighty.
Vast in size he holds unquestionable strength but what good is strength without speed? A brutal force lies behind each strike and his attacks are a freight train derailed. With about as much control. Rather than help his size is a hindrance. One must catch if they intend to kill.

His was a presence she could
The little shika's head shot up sharply, ears swiveling in all directions to catch any sound of one of the ones she feared most in this forest. A glimpse of a shadow on the other side of the ruins registered her fears, and she lay low to the ground, crawling to the other side of the tree. She doubted he had seen her. Running would only attract attention.
(you don't have to reply if you don't want to, just letting old Zaze know Kao remembers. XD)
[Heh, I'd be happy to reply,

[Ah! Gotcha. ^^ Just didn't

Very intriguing character I
[Kao - lol, me too.
Carnival - Thank you. :3]
Steps slow and measured he took pleasure in the death they wrought, flora once green and vibrant withered and died before him. So long he had languished in nonexistence that to see his might unleashed yet again upon an unsuspecting forest, well, he could barely contain his delight.
Barely.
Looking from the death of hapless flowers, the ruby glint of his eyes took in an all to familiar sight; stone overgrown with moss and vine, falling into decay, the ruins. He had spent much of his time among them, tormenting one of the fairer flowers of this eternal forest.
Mercury tongue slavered over bladed jaws at the memory of her silken hide...tender flesh. Ah, of all the wonders contained within these endless walls, she had been the most...pleasing. If he could scent anything over his own vile smog, he knew the ruins would fairly reek of her.
Perhaps she yet remained among those stones...With a black spattering of thick sludge, he turned the dull metallic gleam of his hooves towards the stones. They were as good a place as any to begin his search.
(your rps are so epic i just
She heard the hooves, that heavy breath as it made its way around the stones, the walls of the ruins, where she spent most of her waking hours, and many a sleeping hour; watching from behind the tree on the Hill. Flight or fight kicked in; she wasn't stupid, there was no way she'd even attempt to fight him, but running seemed equally foolish. For now, she would stay her place, and hope the beast would pass and she'd be safe from his jaws and relentless pursuit.
[Ah, you're too kind. :3
Forcing his bulk between close laid stone, smearing the putrefaction of his slick fur as he passed, there seemed no sign of the delicate beauty. There was nothing before him but the tombs of those long past, and they held no interest to the foul beast.
With a smog laden breath he trudged among the headstones, heedless of those that gave beneath his weight. She was not here. No amount of destruction would bring her to him...Did she even remain among the living in this place?
Massive jaws tore wide with a foul spray of sludge as he gave voice to his irritation. She must remain and he would find her. This land may be endless, but only in the minds of those who did not see it's repetition. She could not hide forever. Shouldering free of the ruins he moved outwards, beginning a slow spiral from the heart of the old stones. If he was lucky, she was not far. Possibly just over that hill...
(I'll reply to this tomorrow
[Anytime. ^_^]
Kaoori felt her breath
She hoped. She took a chance and moved slowly and as quietly as possible.
Trudging forward, heavy head
Her.
"Slithering through the trees little jewel? Do you think hiding as an insect will allow you escape from my grasp?" The gravel rasp of his voice echoed from the depths of his steely jaws as he turned to face the hill that hid his prize.
"It's helped before. Her
The shika froze in her tracks. She turned, realizing he was nearly up the hill and danced in place before leaping off.
Ah, that voice. He could
The chase was on!
His bulk held him apart from her nimble flight, but speed would build and he would have her in his sights soon enough. He knew her, she would run for water the little minx, and he fully intended to cut her off before she found it's cool embrace.
Taking no heed of the branches that tore at his antlers or the smaller flora of the forest, he plowed forward. The only thing that held that fiery gaze was the soft, bounding backside of his prey. [I'm so sorry, I couldn't help it. xD]
(ROFL well it is pretty
Indeed, heading for the water was her first thought. She knew water was his bane, and the sooner she could reach it the better for her. It wasn't that far away. Surely she'd make it in time. Nearly tripping on a tree root, she gained her footing quickly.
[I just had to do it.
Finally gathering momentum, he began to close the gap between them, feeling a sudden euphoria as he saw her stumble. The thought of her small form being crushed beneath the tumult of his hooves pleased him to no end, but it was not to be. She regained her footing and though her stride was small, she had an easier time between the trees than he. The loss of footing for a moment did nothing to slow her and she seemed to be gaining yet again.
Expelling a foul snort of irritation he switched tactics. There was no way he could run her to ground now, but he knew one very important fact about this never ending hell that would give him an advantage.
He turned, as suddenly as his bulk could manage, loosing a few precious seconds as his side impacted a small tree, and vanished to nothing but the sound of thudding hooves. If he could use the forest's strange magic, the way it often turned in on itself, then he could perhaps get between her and the water without having to run her down. Or at least catch her before the pond, the stream he could deal with.
(i'm hoping i read this
Kaoori glanced behind her quickly to see how far behind the beast had fallen from her, only to find he'd vanished from her sight. She skidded to a stop, eyes wide, glancing around the forest quickly. Yet, she could still hear his hoofbeats.. they seemed to echo all around her. She was truly frightened now. How could you fight or run from an enemy you could not see? Quickly she darted ahead, hoping to make it soon to her only defense- water.
[Heh, I'm absolutely good
He didn't have much time, he knew that. Also knew that her chances of reaching the water before he could head her off were far better than he cared for. He would not know that his luck was doubled by her timely hesitation, only that as he leaped the small stream at the pond's edge she had yet to reach it's safety.
Bellowing his victory, earth churning beneath deadly hooves, he charged.
(I'll go with what you go
Water.. she could see the water just ahead. With luck, she could make it. Her safe haven was in there.. as the beating of those heavy hooves got louder and harder, she squeaked and gave a burst of energy, hoping she would make it in time.
Swag
Totally.
