-Build and size of a springbok (Around size 3)
-Antlers of a Chital also known as an Axis deer
-More of an empty vessel or shell than an actual being
-Part of earth elements & flesh & blood
-build is like a springbok
-antlers are those of a chital
-illogical fear of leaving crying idol/pond
-Posses a length of string with a blue stone on it. The stone looks like it's made out of water as it swirls about but keeps its shape. Given to him by Junalia, wears it constantly around its neck and will never be seen without it. Necklace also holds a orange/buff feather from Akhenton and a few blue feathers from Kettu.
-If you see him at the twins he is ooc, I'm trying to get his pelt but acting like how he probably would. Please cast the devout pelt on him, my timing sucks ;;

Origin
Deep in their roots, all flowers keep the light.
--Theodore Roethke
The Twin Gods had been searching for something, something important. Something that would become them, spread their reaches further into the forest. Reveal the secrets like twisted roots sent deep underground and send them sprouting up fresh through new eyes. But who? Who would perpetuate the forest, make it better? Who indeed could see the leaves plump and full off sunlight? Who would rustle the bare branches in winter - or see too it that the forest creatures were taken care of?
After searching far and wide across their land, they scrabbled in the darkest places. Deep down under where the light never reaches and tomorrow never comes. They dredged the pond, sifting through old bones of those who'd given themselves willing or not. When they dug the dirt of the church yard and came up empty handed they cast their reach further. Stretched it beyond the borders. Always reaching. Always searching.
And then, when it seemed that the guardian must come from their own power, they found it. A soul so worn away it was only a flicker. And yet, somehow.... somehow it burned brighter then everything, brighter then anything. A desire to live, to please, to grow, to love and most of all....to mean something. A desire to leave a bit of it's own light on every one it touched. To keep them burning as bright as it did once. Oh how it longed for that. The Twins looked at each other and in the split second their eyes met they knew. They knew and they agreed.
And so a new light was brought into the forest. Shaped and spun from the leafy trees themselves. Molded by the smooth hands of water, dried from the hot breath of the untouched sun. Birthed from the stone that had born the tears of some old forgotten sorrow it finally came to be.
The life of the forest

Links
If it weren't for the rocks in its bed, the stream would have no song.
--Carl Perkins
When a link is established the picto of a deer will appear engraved on his side. How long it takes to establish a link varies and in some cases those links fade.
Gotta re-write everything ahhhhhhhhh
Kettu (Little Fox): Complicated. A source of intense worry, fear and guilt. Loves deeply even so. Has disappeared suddenly a few times, lives in fear that one day she will not return. Inwardly quite jealous of her and the family that she's managed to find, worries about being replaced. Feels that it has failed her to a great extent. Completely lost without, she's its light in the dark. Beyond terrified of seeing her again and letting her see what he is now, also terrified by the fact the fox may not allow it back into her life after what its done. Pines for, misses a great deal. Holds a quiet belief that she's better off without it tying her down. Sunshine. gotta rewrite
Possible new songs: Chains - Radical Face, Reminder - Mumford & Sons, Ghost Towns - Radical Face, I Was Wrong - Oh Hellos
Akhenaton (The Bird): One of the few recurring faces in the Idol Spirit's life. A teacher and a listener, can tell him all its problems and be reassured. At one time thought that the bird might have been right saying that Ird had a purpose and was needed. Now quietly disagrees with what had been said. Sheltering wings, safety. Treasures their encounters. Scarce now. Gone? rewrite aaah
Odu (Tree): Has only meet once through Lilith but immediately felt an unbreakable connection towards. He's just like it, a being that carries many of the traits the Idol Spirit does. Represents a hope that there is something more that Ird can become. Admires. A bit envious of his size and apparent powers. Was approaching the point of regrowth when Ird met him, has since disappeared. Extremely worried about. Unaware of his 'rebirth'.
Lilith (Lil): Complicated. Initially started of on rocky grounds, namely because the blue giant disliked it. After numerous life-shaking events happened to both of them found common ground. Always liked, looks up to. Admired. Knows she's really actually pretty nice under all her coldness. Welcome source of company, can talk to her when no one else is around. Scared about her seeing it like this. rewriteeee
Possible songs: Touch - Sleeping At Last, Second Chances - Radical Face
Pretty Boy: Encountered when the small soul when he was first placed in the Forest by The Twins, coaxed the little thing out of some ferns and sat with. Met again sometime later when the fawn had grown to an adolescent. Adored the fellow but felt a high degree of jealously and internal bitterness towards too. Ird believes that he is its replacement, also thinks that this is for the best too. Gone.
Bo (The Angel): An angel of a different God, found her to be a kind and interesting being. Once felt a great deal of pity towards and anger against those that had burned her wings. Now holds a great bitterness towards, thinks she flew away and went back home. Envious at her ability to just leave whenever she wants to and resentful of the bond that her and the Twins seemed to share. Gone.
Yara (The Butter): Liked a great deal, found immeasurable similarities between them despite only meeting her twice. Thought that they'd finally found some one that wouldn't throw it away in the end. To a slight degree feels betrayed by, promised she'd visit and teach it to read. Never did. Gone. Missed. rewrite ahhh
Possible songs: Alone Together - FOB, Friendship To Last - Two Steps From Hell
Sen: ?? IDK ABOUT YOU????? - gotta sorta rewrite
Vahni
Nilo
Caldia
Eloa
"Hommy"
Junalia (Smush Face): Junalia (Smush Face): Was once part of Ird's everything. Loved so much, cute chatterer. Was learning how to talk, first being to stay in its life longer than a day. Gentle and small. Saved from drowning once. Disappeared without warning after a conflict between her and some other individuals. Finally stopped waiting for her when showed up out of the blue again one day, was beyond scared of her for reasons it didn't completely know. Was told what had transpired in the time she was gone and then she promptly vanished again. Undoubtedly feels cheated out of the opportunity to watch her grow up and change. Heartache, bitterness, anger. Gone. Left a hole. Mourns.

-Was intended to become a caretaker of the forest and to give the twins a visible indicator of how their forest was doing. Unfortunately Ird became completely terrified to journey beyond the pond and has never once set foot in any part of the forest except the Old Oak. This has severely impacted the amount it can do for the forest. The twins are starting to accept this.
-Self confidence is non existent, this shows through when ever the Idol spirit talks about itself or when it can not protect someone. Firm belief that it is a "bad seed" that comes from the past.
-Suffers from SAD (Separation Anxiety Disorder). Currently only seems to affect those that Ird rarely sees and cannot be counted on to return again. Experiences an array of symptoms including physical complaints. Maybe one of the reasons it refuses to leave the pond.
- Smarter than it looks and acts. May not understand everything but has a good perspective of the world and isn't afraid to use the knowledge it posses. Often surprisingly philosophical and word wise if gotten to calm down and concentrate
-Can tell when the feelings of those around him are forced. Dislikes people covering up their problems because they think it can not handle them. Surprisingly adept at finding fake smiles.
-Loves quickly and with absolutely everything it has. Even when they don't get any love back. Will give and give and give until there is nothing else.
-Skin cracks easily, more so when extremely upset. The grass and moss on its skin will wilt and turn brown when this happens. Likely to lose its flowers in these instances as well. Blood trails dry up in cases of extreme sadness, can not see very well at all until blood trails are restored by happiness.
-When startled will spit out great quantities of blood at attackers. Has the aim and accuracy of a lama, will aim for the eyes and face

@Waning-Sun: (Yes Akhen, you
"Ahem-yes." It coughed, oddly pleased they were baffling him. When it heard the other's offer its face when through every emotion in between frightened and excited. Finally it fixed on a cautious squint and gave the matter more thought. To fly would be wondrous but what if Ird fell? Well, Ird would be a pancake then. "Ermm....Ird better go ask permisson first ya know? Wait -wait a sec Ird's gonna go check!" And like that the being galloped off to the crying stone. If you listened carefully you could hear small snippets of a one sided conversation. "You think Ird should go...safe...what? NO Ird wouldn't do that! Yes...course. Yes Ird know...."
@Toppled: Oh my goodness! That's so sweet! Thank-you! And yes, you broke my record of claiming pages on my own blogs {:
Been meaning to get to this
Ask permission...from who? Akhen couldn't help but follow the little spirit, only to find the scene even more confusing. It was...talking to the stone. The owl deer didn't know how to take that. He first thought the little thing was simply insane. But the more he wondered about the more he thought that maybe...Ird actually...was getting a response from it. Like from some...other spirit deity creature that wandered the woods or...or...something? Maybe?
He couldn't bring himself to interrupt Ird's conversation, so he simply waited patiently for them to turn their attention back to him, hopefully with their verdict.
Erg homework. I know that
-
With a last hiss at the rock Ird turned away, only to quickly whip around and squint. They really thought it'd do that. Really? It wasn't dumb.... well not that dumb. With a shake of the head the being turned around and spooked at the much closer distance between Akhen and it. It hadn't realized the bird coming closer so it was like the other teleported somehow, which of course wasn't what happened. Never the less the little creature was half way around the crying stone before it realized there was no threat and came back. "Yeesh Aken don do that again. You scared Ird more than rain mixed with a cat." It clucked, scolding him for a minute. " The twins said it up to Ird if Ird wanna fly. Waste Ird's time they do if ya ask me. Yeesh you think they'd have some what more useful to say. They might think Ird's a dumb fish. SO since Ird gets to decided and Ird is gonna go head an say yes. Yes please, if not to much trouble?"

He snorted and stepped back
Yes?
"No, I wouldn't offer if it was much trouble...just don't...wiggle around. I don't want you to fall and hurt yourself..." Could it hurt itself? It was a spirit...did they feel pain? He wasn't sure and he pondered that as he slowly lowered himself to the ground and fanned his wings out a bit. He turned his head to watch Ird, giving a little nod of assent as he waited for the other to hop onto his back.
(Bah, sorry. A mix of lack of muse, school and general stress.)
No, yes? Can fly or can't.
Better get those wiggles out. It spun around in a circle, hopping before really pronking, shooting a good 5 feet up three times before staying on the ground. Very slowly the little thing lifted itself onto the owl's back and nestled down in the feathers. It hopped that Akhen wouldn't mind the beautiful feathers getting coated with blood before remembering the wind would probably blow the blood away.
(It's okay, I got the same too.)
Akhen just watched the little

Akhen halted when he noticed the branches were...moving out of the way. He had thought it was simply the wind moving the branches around...with Ird humming happily in his ear. Seemed plausible at first, but now he was just confused. Of course, Ird was a Forest spirit, that meant he could do stuff like that, couldn't he? He shook his head, stopping himself from questioning the little creature in favor of launching himself into a trot. A few feet of that he fanned his wings as his pace rolled into an easy canter.
A charge, leap and some heavy wing beats later the owl stag was ascending up through the trees. He didn't level out until he was above them, his wings stilling as he found a comfortable current for them to ride on.
"This what you thought it would be?" he turned his head in an owlish fashion, watching Ird's reaction.

The owl's neck turn sends them scooting backwards about a centimeter.
"Ah! Aken, somewhat's wrong with your neck!" After that matter is stated the creature attempts to answer the other's question.

It stood up slowly, carefully balancing on the other's back. Eye sockets stretched bigger then ever before, mouth open, head slowly turning. Soaking in the forbidden forest it could not enter, catching glimpses of deer going about their days, fawns sleeping, saplings growing. The wind started to whistle somehow more musical than usual, still calm enough not to jostle them. What was it like to be down there?
A flock of butterflies swirled up, coming to meet the creature they'd only ever seen on the ground. Their throbbing wings spelled out a message only the little spirit could read. "They say welcome little forest, Akhenton this is amazing! Everything's so clear..." It fell silent as the butterflies pealed away across the tree tops. If there was some way to bottle up this moment and keep everything right now, it would do anything. "For as long as you want Akhen, as long as you want."
(Awwww ♥) Akhen
Akhen kept himself steady as the butterflies came up to flutter around Ird, though he couldn't help himself from stalling a little to watch. Watching butterflies in the air with them...that was something he hadn't witnessed before. He had never seen the butterflies outside of their little flower patches let alone thought that they could fly like that, come to think of it.
"Clear...? Yes, it can be..." Some days. Some days it was clouded and dull. Or rainy. "Beautiful too..." he murmured with a glance toward the Forest below them.
With the spirit's reassurance the owl deer circled them around the Forest a few times, the silence of the air around them broken by the lazy beat of his wings. It was only when the familiar ache in his muscles became a burning pain did Akhen break the silence to speak up again, "I'm going to start to descend now, Ird... you might want to not be standing for it..."
(fail post I'm so sorry. My muse is all over the place.)
What would the weather look
"Oh...okay." It moved itself back down, resuming its earlier position. For a moment it stared up at the sun and wanted to just jump off, anything to keep this moment longer. Then it knew that the Twins would think it was stupider then they thought and would take all this way. It sighed, it didn't want that.
(It's okay, mine keeps getting distracted too)
At the consent Akhen waited
"Here we are..."
It half-closed its sockets
It slid off as soon as they landed, immediately going over to the stream bank and staring at the reflection that met it. "Akhen? Why are we here, what is our purpose? Do we have one?" The head tilted up to take in the wide sky again. "And where does rain come from?"
Akhen didn't respond to Ird's
"Clouds....what if it's sunny
"Ird's been asking the twins those questions a lot this week-days. They never answer anymore, Ird lucky they even said anything today. Guess that means we all need to answer them on our lonesome ya?" It curled close to the bird, throwing the skinny neck as far over his shoulders as it could. "This was Ird's second chance, last chance, only chance. And Ird is blowing it. Badly. Ird knew what purpose its was supposed to be, but not no more." Ird sighed. "[=yellow]Do you think we are like rain Akhenton?[/color}"
"How so, Ird?" He tipped his
(Now Ird is probably going to
It considered the sky thoughtfully. "Well...did you know that humans are 65% water Akhenton? An brain bout 78% of water? Rain is sky-water, just like the pond is ground-water and this..." It raised its head so the bird could see the ever changing pendant around its neck. "is stone water. Snow is frozen sky-water right? Just like ice. What come from Ird's eyes is life-water or blood-water, depends on who says really. If sky-water, ground-water and cold-water are all same thing then wouldn't blood-water and stone-water be same kind too?"
Head tilted to the side it pondered the rest of the sentences the bird spoke. "Ird hasn't seen sun and rain at same-time yet but there's a song about it ya know? What if you were made for only one purpose though? If that don't work can you pick another? Ird already knows its worth, that Ird is absolutely usless...."
(♥ thank you so much
And hahaha, good job Akhen.)
Akhen frowned once he caught Ird's sentences turning more and more negative. He hadn't intended for the little thing to start ripping itself apart. "I did not know that about humans..." he muttered back, thinking of the time Zash tried to explain to him the science behind children and where they came from. That conversation hadn't ended well at all...he shook his head, "I...I don't know. I don't know if you're just made for one purpose or not...Ird's not worthless, you help in ways you'll probably never know."
(Your welcome, I'm excited!
It rolled on to its back, craning its neck as far forward as possible to avoid its rack snapping. After kicking its legs for a moment, the little one replied. "Rain doesn't know it helps the flowers grow right? Maybe, just maybe Ird might be like that? You think so Akhen?"
He rolled over onto his side,
(I can just picture these two
It let out a questioning pop as the other flopped over. That was kinda strange but the idol spirit appreciated the gesture. So Ird was like rain, sorrow, insignificance, giver of life and grand importance all rolled into one. That suited the little one and it peddled the air a bit more in triumph.
"Ird is helping right now? How?" They righted themselves and nodded at him. "We all got the same roots, butterflies to whales and us too." It squinted, trying to believe Akhen's words. "[ color=yellow]So...like how a bit of grass means nothing to anybody but it's angel and to a bug that piece is whole world and plus more. An that bug might be everything to somewhat more?[/]"
(I think they're adorable too
Akhen was quiet at the little one's words, trying to make sense of the haphazard maze of its thoughts. "Helping me by talking to me..." he trailed off as he switched gears to analyze Ird's analogy. "Sort of...kind of but not so much?" He clacked his beak in frustration, "That's more...I mean like...like...little things, sort of. Like...walking up to sit by someone when they're upset- even if you don't know them. It's like...giving someone you don't know something- food, or...a flower, or something to just brighten their day for no reason. Or maybe simply greeting someone. Sometimes you don't really realize what you're doing, you just think you're being nice or it just happened by chance, but it means the world to the one who received it." He wasn't sure if he was making sense anymore or just talking in circles. He sort of enjoyed it though, being intellectually challenged in such a way. It was rare he had conversations like that.
(I'm glad that Ird's rambling
"So yes, no, maybe so then?" It bobbed its head like a lovebird trying to get attention, encouraging the other to put their thoughts into words. Or maybe it was just being distracting as usual, hard to tell really. It mimed the beak click, frowning in frustration when no sound was produced. "Oh! Ird does that, kinda! Ird remembers the pigthing that attacked little fox Kettu an Jun, but saved Ird and Ket from that other pigthing later. When he not looking Ird'll run up and nuzzle him cause he don't look to happy anymore and everybody got reasons for unhappy and Ird just want them to be happy again. So they don't chase friends like, but also so they just happy." It looked sheepish for a moment. "Pigthing would probably eat Ird if he knew though, he not really touchy feely. But thought that counts ya?"
"Pigthing?" He muttered in
(Awesome, love helping that way. Always a blast learning more about your character!)
"Yah, grumpy big blue
"Ah...I've met him." He

He shrugged, "I'm...I'm not
(Do you think Ird could talk
It nodded, satisfied with that answer. "You coulda said so in beginning Akhen, Ird doesn't know some things either." It considered something, wondering about unanswered questions. "Where is your favorite place to be?"
(Always up for trying.)
Could have just said that from the beginning...well he had to come up with some answer, didn't he? After all he had wings... He was supposed to know how they worked...right? "Favorite place?" He thought about that for a moment "I like that hill...that hill overlooking the Blue Bowl...red hill? Is that what it's called? Either way I like that spot."
(Okay, I'll start something
Where was that place? Of course the creature didn't know but would hopefully recognize the hill if they could see it. A wonder filled expression crossed the features. "Sounds colorful an very pretty. Ird will visit you and red hill when can, one day." The little thing looked up at the other and then quickly looked away. "W-w-would you l-like to see my favorite place?"
(Lol I feel your pain. I tend
"I'd love to, Ird." He murmured back before he slowly rose to his hooves, "And someday I'll show you where the hill is. It's high enough to let you see a good distance around. It's a nice high place."
(All that where the heck did
For some reason it felt embarrassed, as if it's lonely spot would disappoint somehow. It still hopped up semi eagerly and started wiggling.
"That sounds all lovely Aken, Ird would love it. Come, come follow!" It squeaked out. Then it started running, barely clearing the stream with a hasty jump. It finally stopped at the second willow to the right and plopped down in the shallow bowl besides the willow's roots. Faint traces of blood the wind hadn't blown away still lingered on the grass stalks here.
"It's not much but this little bowl comfy, more people come here then the crying stone, has real nice water view and that willow big enough to hid in. And best part is there room for company! Not that Ird ever gets much."
(Awe, that's good. As long as
And Reate's finally showing some promise at getting a little bit better. He's emotionally numb, but he seems to be a little bit okay as long as he just focuses on the moment or on the future. I call it progress.)
Akhen followed easily enough, trying to keep up with Ird's excited little pace. He paused beside them, eying the water, the willow, and the nice little niche Ird had found itself. "I like this spot, Ird. A lovely view of the water and the willow..." He paused to glance at the tree, "...and it looks like the tree might block direct rain...at least." He nodded at the thought, not too certain himself, but it seemed appropriate to say. He fluffed up his feathers and fur before letting them fall flat; it was a way to expel his feeling of awkwardness when he was at a loss for what he should say, "Now that I know where you live I'll have to come visit sometimes..."
( Progress! ) It just smiled
It just smiled up at him simply happy that someone would see the beauty in this place too. It still caught that the other was a bit awkward here and so it hopped up and rubbed their leg in a comforting matter. "Oh you don't need to visit Ird. Only when you want to Akhen. Ird don't want to be a-a...what do you call it? A inconvenience? Yeah that."
