The feline chuckled warmly, setting a single strikingly bright azure feather before the nestling's feet. Her bells could be heard tinkling as she set off into the woods for the night.

"Oh!" Abe stares in awe at the feather, before turning his wide-eyed gaze up to the winged feline. He nods vigorously and squawks giddily, "Thank much, lady!"
With great reverence, Abe closes his beak around the feather and stretches to position it among the drab feathers at the base of his neck.

As he fell asleep, Syria

As he fell asleep, Syria would steal away from their little group. She'd run through the forest, chasing rabbits, birds and squirrels alike. However, she would come back with nothing but a medium-sized koi from the pond and a rather scraggly looking crow, the latter she'd only managed to catch because it was on the verge of death already.

She'd attempt to rouse the fawn, but after failing numerous times, she'd end up sitting down with the fish and crow tucked protectively under her forelegs. She waited until he woke himself to do anything further with the small animals.

Fawn needs eats. The predatory creature would say, looking down at Abe. Need meats. Here she'd push both options carefully toward the fawn, hoping at least one of them would suffice. She waited, head cocked to the side, for his decision.

( lmfao, sorry this is so crap. >> but I figured Syri would notice if her buddy was not eating properly )

( Awwwh she's so sweet <3 She'll never get rid of him now, though. Once you feed them they'll keep coming back as they say lol )

Abe tosses in his slumber, small beak snapping at dream prey. The scent of meat heavy in his dream, makes him coo morosely. Slowly he wakes, wistfully remembering the scent from his dream... only to realize that the smell wasn't in his mind!
Abe scrambles to his hooves with a squawk, head lifted high, looking around for the source of the smell. He is delighted to find that the source of the scent is coming from Syria. His feathers raised in excitement, Abe shuffles closer to her and plops himself down again, staring longingly the food.
When the female pushes the little carcasses toward Abe, he turns to look up at her, delighted. Then, practically shaking with excitement, Abe grabs the koi and drags it between his hooves, tearing into it happily. When he had finished the whole fish, even some of the bones, Abe scoots as close as he can to Syria, cooing contentedly.
