A different face

How would Herla look as a human faced TEF deer? Well it's something I wanted to draw for a while, as a "what if" and to see how it might turn out.

So here she is, I decided to make her face, skin toned instead of matching her pelt, it's how I imagined her and how she might look when she say, wears the Noh mask in-forest.

I don't know, it's just an art concept currently.

Thanks to Misako for helping me figure out how to fix the perspective on the face. Human faces make me cry! But yes, if anything still looks odd it’s purely my fault.

Well you know how much I love

Well you know how much I love this. I better repeat myself.
My have you improved with human faces! Ridiculous. Wish I had improved like that, pft. I really like the idea of seeing her like this with the noh mask.. I'm not big in skin-toned faces on deer bodies but I think this is working out quite decently.

Aww, thanks Mis! I think your human faces are great, and you have this wonderful ability to draw a character's face consistently. What is that? I’ve really only learned to have more patience with human faces. Now when I draw them I take ages and ages and I’m reminded each time why they drive me so mad! I was very hesitant about the whole experiment, sure at every turn it was just going to look turn out looking awful. I’m happy it looks somewhat better than awful. XD

Thank you Alyssa! But ah, yes she will always primarily be a deer faced deer…human faces are too much a pain to draw. XD

Tuoho, I agree! I’ve seen plenty of human faced designs with human skin pigments that look great. It’s always a challenge, however you draw it, to make a human face look right anatomically on a deer body. Very challenging! And thank you. ^^
