- Was once fiercely independent. The slow poisoning in his system has made him rely on others for food, shelter and protection. This is especially true with hunting.
-Despite his illness maintains a fairly positive attitude. He does get down when he feels especially unwell, though.
- Reacts negatively to demonic entities as it is his job to "kill" them.
- Once had a quick wit and an even sharper tongue. Still has the spunk for the latter when he feels well enough.
- Extremely patient and mellow. A good cuddle buddy or conversationalist.
-Loyal. It takes a lot for the stag to no longer see someone as a friend. Will never turn his back on a companion and will fight to the end to help them.
- Does not see himself highly; believes he is a monster that gets what he deserves. Gives nearly as much, if not more, than he receives. Will never expect anything in return. Gifts and kindness are remembered.

Was once an extremely powerful magic wielder- especially with dark magic. Now he is physically too weak to do much of anything, but can still sniff out demonic blood and sense when other strong magics are present. Anything involving Auni's magic can be discussed over Skype. Is unable to wield magic in present time. Devout spell burns him as does light magic.

Auni is blind. He cannot see actions in game and may act like he is ignoring your character. Certain emotes are "ignored" unless he's close enough to hear your character's presence.
Bio art is heavily referenced, but the painting and character is © me.

A petite doe was trotting through the forest, on her daily rounds of re-blooming and comforting the flowers. She stopped for a moment and knelt down beside a drooping flower. It was slowly withering, the tips of its petals and stem were brown. She took in a deep breath, and exhaled over the flower. Once her breath touched the flower, it instantaneously bloomed again, livening bright colors. Then she bloomed another flower beside it to keep it company. No one ever likes to be alone...
Satisfied with her work, she stood up again and looked around. There was a sleeping nameless in the Birch... oh, there comes a fawn. But in the distance, her golden orb-like eyes caught sight of someone, not a nameless or a fawn. In curiousity, she trotted forward to approach the being.

Okay, here we go. And eh, my bold leaked onto the responses...oh well.
Auni rested against a tree, more or less content to have the tree at his back. Now, especially, he didn't like having his back exposed to where just anyone could walk up on him. Not with Jester around all the time. Granted, her interest was on Phoenix at the moment. He felt a shiver of sympathy for the poor bird doe, but it quickly passed. She was strong enough to handle her own, mentally and physically. Sooner or later Jester would notice Auni's sorrows bleeding off of him. But for now, he was content enough to fight with his own demons. He glowered at the ground a few feet away, where the snake was watching him. Kascane had taught him to ignore the visions, that they weren't real, that they wouldn't bring harm if he didn't believe it. But he did believe it, he believed it right down to the core of his being. He lowered his head, snorting and eyeing the snake, almost daring it to lunge at him. His folded legs twitched at the thought of stamping its body into the ground and hearing its invisible bones break.

The petite dark red doe stopped from a few feet away as she noticed the stag glowering at something on or in the ground. She cocked her head to the side in confusion and her brow furrowed as she tried to think what he could have possibly been looking at.
Unsure whether she should interrupt, she stammered, "U-uhm... H-hello?"
*Aha! Found the pesky bold
Auni started, his pelt flashing fear before it changed into dots; distress. He swung his head around, momentarily forgetting the snake in his fear as he looked over for the voice, finding a doe standing a few feet away. Distress went back to stripes as he watched her, noting her unease.
He allowed several moments of dead air to fall between them before responding gently enough, "Hello."

The doe's expression went
"Mm, hello."
She lied down a foot or two from him. She noticed he was smaller than most stags she had seen, but she was still smaller than he. Her eyes were observant, goldeny brown with a darker shade of brown for her pupil. An assortment of peacock, raven, and quail feathers fanned around her head like a crown. One white dove feather was tucked at her forehead, in between her eyes. It stuck out straight and firmly. Her pelt was the color of rich blood.
Glancing back at the peculiar spot he had watched, and then looking back to him. "What are you called?"
"Auni," the stag replied,

She looked again at the empty ground. Then back to him. She looked unphased, peaceful... pleasant, even. She had seen many many strange, different and even some scary things in the forest that were left unexplained to her. By this time, she was used to it. The doe smiled comfortingly to him. "It's alright."
Auni nodded, before feeling

The doe looked back down at the flower, smiling and watching over it like a protector, a mother.
"No... I feel their emotions... I can understand them. I feel what they do, the way they do. Everything has life. Everything has feeling."
Everything has feeling? Auni

She looked back at him and
She explained, "It's not like mind-reading, where you can't really control whether you hear them or not, so you just hear voices everywhere. That would be annoying. I can choose whether to "hear" them or not. They don't talk in sentences, as a matter of fact they hardly speak at all. Their thoughts and feelings are simple, after all they are plants and cannot think as complexly as a deer. Even if I did hear and feel, perhaps... a cluster of flowers that I was passing by all at once, it still wouldn't be overwhelming. It's as if I'm hearing a bird chirp as it flies overhead- it's distant, soft, and natural."
Auni nodded. "So, you don't

Coming to a stop, she said, "Feel free to enter."
Flowers of different colors and types surrounded the Oak along with fresh green grass and heathers, leaving a gap for people to enter the Hollow. The doe lied down right outside the hollow, as if guarding it. Continuing to look out with a watchful eye, she said to him in a very soft, tender voice, "I guess this is why I'm called The Oak Guardian, heh. I hope this will give you some kind of serenity for you when you stay here... and I hope that this place will keep your nightmares away. If not, I'd be happy to do that for you, it's what I do."

Her ears flickered the opposite way, she heard someone coming. Coming from the direction of the lake bridge, she saw her friend, ZiraBay coming towards them. ZiraBay was a few years older than the little red doe. She had a lovely and mature human face. It was clear that she had a strong body-structure, and thick shoulder-blades. Her antlers were adorned with peachy-pink poppies. Her pelt was the design of the night sky. Trotting towards them, she shook her broad, wide antlers, shooing the birds that had perched and rested there away.
Within a few moments, the older doe was approaching the two. The little red doe greeted her with a silent nod. ZiraBay turned to Auni and gave a friendly smile. "Hello, dear."
ZiraBay had a very motherly air about her, her voice warm and welcoming like the silent hums of robins.

Hehe, oh no it's fine!
ZiraBay gave a shrug. "Yes, I do have some sort of family." Then she looked to the crow.
"Ah, you speak. I am ZiraBay."
The Oak Guardian arched her neck to see the crow. "Hello, Pheonix. What brings you here?"
Lol okay good, and there will
Phoenix looked up at the crow before turning her attention over the group, landing on Auni, "Oh my gosh, has Auni gotten to you too? Auni. crows can't talk you crazy flea bag!"
"You know as well as I do they very well could! Look at Jester." the stag shot back.
"Jester's a freak of nature, in case you haven't noticed!" She snorted shaking her head cutting off the stag's retort, "Hello ZiraBay. I'm over here, and I just came to check up on this fella. Kerwin told me he wandered off, and well...Jester wasn't around. I thought she might have him cornered up in some hole in the wall somewhere."
"I can watch myself."
The doe's crest rose and she fanned her wings making her appear threatening, "Yeah, right. You can watch yourself? Auni you can barely walk straight let alone watch yourself. Kerwin watches himself better, and he's the one who will run headlong into a tree and barely notice."
The stag snorted, "I'm fine on my own, I don't need you watching me like a shadow."
"Yeah, you do. Between Alabaster being all angsty-"
"He's sick, in case you haven't noticed. Why aren't you there with him?"
"-and Jester being a freak...well why aren't you there with him, huh?"
"Zash and Kerwin are taking care of him quite well. They don't need me." The doe sighed, defeated. Her wings and crest drooped.
"Of course they don't..." she muttered quietly. Her mood brightened, "So...what attracted you ladies to Mr. Pessimist over here? And what is your name?" she looked pointedly at the Oak Guardian.
All Pathes Eventually Cross
xD Ah, I see. No prob ^^
The two does watched them with amusement. It was the first time the petite red doe had seen someone winged and bird-like- she watched Phoenix with interest. However, ZiraBay had seen many-a strange thing in the forest. The older doe watched with fascination.
"I am the Oak Guardian of the forest, pleased to meet you. I had come across Auni a little while before, I noticed he was alone and I decided to introduce myself."
ZiraBay looked quizzically at Phoenix. "I have just arrived, joining my little friend here. And here, we're all freaks of nature. If we're all freaks of nature, then no one is a freak of nature. We are all wonderfully bizarre."
"Wonderfully bizarre... now
"I was told that this place would get rid of nightmares..." Auni exclaimed to Phoenix. She watched him, seeing something flash across his eyes. Hope? Happiness? Whatever it was it was an emotion he didn't accept, or know of. She felt pity flare in her heart.
"Is that so?" she questioned softly.
