Convel: I don’t think Daneth is going to be cool with a full grown stag he doesn’t know just “chilling” with his does, sort of not how it works with him. He’d also be unlikely to just randomly team up with another stag too. I have to admit, when Convel just plopped down like that I took it as an indication he was ignoring Daneth and not interacting so we ignored him until he got again, then it was ON.

Waning-Sun: Thank you! And that was you with the grey doe with the fan mask? We couldn’t find you on the rut list so it was a bit confusing. I welcome all rut interactions but it really is the courteous thing to go through proper channels and send in an official application. Daneth sat in the soft moss of the Old Forest, the thick undergrowth doing a good job soaking up all the blood he had to give, he frowned at the little doe not because he was mad at her but because does should be the one’s with wounds, “I tried, yeah, I’m sorry, seems I messed up a bit though,” he blinked at her little kiss upon his nose, “Yes, I do know you, Lane, I’m Daneth,” he chuckled, his voice coming out in a low rumble. “Hey I’m alright though, what happened to you? You shouldn’t be walking around wounded, us stags are supposed to be impressing and protecting you.” his drawl was thick, it slurred even more when he was tired.

“Thanks,” he frowned again at her embarrassed look, “You look great though, still lovely,” he quickly amended. He’d never tell a doe she looked bad. His frown deepened when she admitted it was a stag that had wounded her like that and he couldn’t help a low growl, his ears pinning back, “That’s not affection then, stay away from those sorts, no doe need put up with that, you can come to me if you need protection,” he was sure to add, a stern look still in his eyes, this was quite the young doe, what sort of garbage would have harmed her? He blinked at her question before regaining his composure a self assured smile falling over his features, “I’m fine,” he lied, “Just need a little shut eye and I’ll be ready to rumble in no time,” he winked, laying on the charm, his most confident smile, but those who looked close wouldn’t be fooled, the strain to hold his head up apparent.

The stag had a smile at the sparkle in the young does eye and he chuckled as she plopped down offering herself as a pillow, he couldn’t do that though, his head would be far too heavy for her, it was far too heavy for himself at the moment, “ I’m a better pillow though, come over her and sit by my side,” he encouraged, winking at her, but the spark from his own sky blue eyes was fading. The big stag stretched out his neck upon the soft mossy forest floor and closed his eyes, a long shuddering breath escaping him. Those eyes wouldn’t be opening again soon.
