The doe smiled, a little bit of enthusiasm pulling through her submissive mask. "Okay... I just want to smell him a little better. I have never smelled a newborn before... it would be very wise for me to know what one smells like in the future so I know to stay away." Odd explanation.
A single nod was Malikorin's response to Kody after hearing the child's name. Seth. He liked the sound of it, and looked down briefly at the pup again now that he knew the name. His eyes rose to Kody's face, glad to see the canine's proud smile. Malik was confident that this pup would be well taken care of.

A confused expression appeared on the wolf's face, though it was mostly hidden by ebony hair. "I thought you could smell it from the other side of the pond?" It was a question he didn't really want to be answered. "Well I don't really think I want you...smelling my son. I'm pretty sure with a nose that can smell something from away over by the pond, you'd be able to smell him sitting much further away than you are now." His gaze focused on her for a few moments before he started speaking again. "Do you even know why I don't want you so close or the risks you bring by being here?"

The doe spoke evenly. "I could smell the birth. Blood, birth oils... not your son. His scent was so obscure among all of those and others that I did not smell him until I got so close." She did not look Kody in the eyes, wishing to be as non-threatening as possible.
"Kody, I understand exactly. He has been missing for days. He is not here nor will he be coming here." Comfort, or at least an attempt. "I am me and do not wish to be coupled with him in everyone's thoughts so consistently, no matter who he is to me. I will not bring danger to your child." Her eyes flicked up once, Sincerity. "I am not Nikodim. I would kindly ask that you understand that."
"Well like I said, with a nose like that you should still be able to smell him from pretty far away." He would say nothing more on the matter. It would just go in circles.
Kody was slowly losing his patience. By the looks of things, she wasn't quite understanding it. "And how do you know this? Have you...I dunno, went into his mind and saw that he won't come over? Sure he's not here now but one day I'm sure he won't be able to resist coming over." He huffed, letting out what seemed to be a sarcastic laugh. "You won't bring danger to my son? Oh well, good to know. After all you seem to bring the danger to the rest of us." A snarl. "I am no fool, I know you're not Niko but I also know of how possessive he can be and the danger he can cause. I've watched him beat down friends, he attacks without mercy. I won't risk my son's life for the sake of it. You need to understand that." He paused, trying to calm down. "I don't want it to be like this. I really don't. I can't help if he has tried to kill my family and friends before. Only once I know it is safe to be around you will I fully accept you. It's reached the point where risks can't be taken anymore. I won't lose anyone, not now."
The doe burned and seethed for one brief moment, but cooled herself when Kody did. She closed her blind eyes, but then opened them again. "I am safe, Kody. I mean look at me... I am blind and missing a leg. I do not fight, and any time you have seen me with Nikodim it has been me trying to protect you and yours. Do not snarl at me, Kody; I am not the enemy. And you would be first in line to rip my soul from my veins if I ever become one. I have seen what you can do, when I had eyes that could see. I would not wish to become your enemy." She chuffed a bit, shaking her head with the final sentence.
"He's protective of me, yes. When he is around, I will be with him, trying to keep him away. I have learned to only ever come alone when I wish to be with some semblance of family. I love you all more than you can understand. You have no idea how I have tried-" The doe stopped speaking abruptly, choking on her words, pain coming to her face. She shoved it away quickly for a cool and gentle mask. "It'd probably be best for me to take my leave. I don't want to be the first to show your beautiful son any form of upset. He is so wonderful, so healthy and blissful... warmth and milk. Congratulations." Jupiter touched the wolf briefly, so brief that it was hard to feel, before turning away. The doe's body adopted a position of being alert before she moved away quietly so as not to wake the sleeping pup. She turned her head back once at the top of the hill before disappearing over the other side toward the Ruins.

"I know you are safe in terms of fighting. Not your company though." He was growing tired of talking about this on the day that should be joyful. "I'll snarl at whoever I please."
"I will not risk anything, Jupiter. Don't prance over here and tell me this on the very day my child is born. I know you are trying but things like this takes time and today is not the day. I appreciate that you are here to congratulate us but I do not appreciate that you are telling me to stop acting the way I am. I will not just lay down my guard because you told me he won't harm us, because I know he will come over at some point or that you might even bring him over when you want to see us. He will follow you around. Your words mean nothing." He paused for a moment, listening to her. "Yes, I think leaving is a better idea." The wolf remained still as the doe touched him ever so slightly, contrasting eyes locking onto her. He was thankful that he didn't need to argue anymore in front of Seth.

Always in trouble. Always. The young doe was talented like that. She got into trouble without searching one. She has been lucky to have someone help her, but only a moment ago she was there alone facing the beast.
"T-thank you." She knew the melanic wolf was not a fan of hers, it was very clear to her but still she appreciated the way he had protected her there with Leviathann by his side. Her words were only a whisper, nothing more.

The wolf knew that the two does were a frequent target for the beast. It was only natural to step in to help them, after all, Djinn was his sister and Miyako was her daughter. In the past it probably seemed like the ebony canine was not fond of the doe but he generally had no problem with her. Only when she came very close to his son did he ever become irritated, but he wasn't bothered by it anymore. The fact that Seth had grown a liking to her was yet another reason to help her.
"No problem." A quick reply that probably seemed like a shout compared to the doe's whisper. There was no time to stay though, as he had to rush off and help the rest of his family.

Guess that where the parts I wasn't paying attention, I was afk or checking something in another window. I really need to learn to let him sit down or stand in the 'listen' action when I'm going out of the TEF window. ;__;
