highly extravagant and bright, the style of a fauvist, jester is practically in costume at every moment of his life. his showy appearance matches his dramatic demeanour perfectly. despite his gender, jester is quite effeminate in his bodily build, with a graceful, slender body and limbs, curvy, womanly hips and flank, and an elegantly-arched neck. not the largest of deer, jester is about the size of a medium to average-sized doe. he treads upon his petite hooves lightly, his somewhat prancing gait fitting of his flexible form, his rounded hips swaying showily as he moves.

jester is, certainly, far from the norm. difficult to describe, he has three uprightly-angled protrusions stemming from the top of his head that extend partially down the length of his neck. these are highly reminiscent of the shape of a court jester's costume hat. however, whilst it rather resembles a hat, it is attached to his skin, and made from skin itself. whilst hardly firm, they are far from limp either, extensions of jester's body that have existed from 'birth' to merely add to his showy appearance in the present.

certainly one of the most noticeable aspects of his looks is his colourful, butterfly wing-patterned pelt which, with the ability to change patterns based upon his surroundings if he so desires, allows for jester to camouflage quite well, allowing him to hide himself if need be. usually though, his pelt resembles the eye-like patterns that can be found upon the wings of many butterflies, making him appear as though there are giant eyes patchworked over his body. many swear that these eye-like patterns have followed them as they have passed.

jester’s facial markings allude to the makeup worn by court jesters, with heavy dark crosses over his eyes. kewpie doll-esque lip markings make jester quite the sight to behold, with his unique mask-like facial decorations making his personal display all the more unique.

finally, jester is not one built for the fight. his antlers, whilst pretty, are hardly practical for combat. whilst able to pack a powerful kick, jester’s body is built for flight over fight, with the trickster being extremely light on his feet, allowing for a high degree of agility that gives jester the ability to escape danger as opposed to facing it with brute physical force.

quite the showman, jester is just as florid and showy as his appearance suggests.

as his name displays, jester is a playful, entertaining character with a basis in the attitudes of court jesters, who were employed to amuse royalty with their tricks. always one for humour, jester jokes with almost all that he meets of all ages and species, although more often than not, his puns are of a more adult nature. highly witty, jester manipulates words and his speech regularly rhymes, with the trickster finding a particular degree of joy in creating limericks in his everyday talk. quoting lines and sayings of others is also a favourite of jester’s. he taunts, toys and teases, with a flirtatious streak that often gets him into even more trouble than he usually finds himself in. overall, jester is a mischievous, playful deer, who derives great amusement from the manipulation of others, aiming to provoke emotions, finding fun especially in bothering those who cannot stand his presence. jester’s laugh is also one that is highly distinct, a unique, incessant cackle that often makes hairs stand upon the backs of the necks of those who hear it.

however, despite his playful nature, jester isn’t all that he entirely seems. trust placed in him is most likely misplaced, with an underlying devious nature making jester quite the adversary should you ever give him reason to see you as an enemy. one for blackmail and deceit, jester's sharp mind and quick wit, teamed with his ability to camouflage quite easily, means no secret is completely safe-not even close.
